Mad about the necro again being ignored in a skill update?
This one was also fairly annoying to scroll down to find that necros have again been almost untouched.
The last time i bothered...I didn't even see any upgrades to the necro just the soul reaping nerf.
Thats quite annoying considering that with the new skills it seems like Anet just slapped together skills with almost no aim for a necro to be good for anything but a lowly enchantment stripper.

The fact that not many skills are changed, may just show they see the Necro as balanced allready.
Sure, I'd like to have seen some buffs or updates, but at least there's no severe nerfs.

The skills may be balanced, but the necro still can not work with over half of it's elites...it seems like balanced to Anet is ignoring all factions elites but flesh golem

Necros took a giant hit with the MM nerf. FoC just got bumped up 5 energy too, semi-nerfing that. All the balancing to be done to necros has just about been done.
I'm just wondering what Anet is going to do about the toucher... MM's got nerfed after the preview event for being overused and abused, yet the toucher remains... untouched? I know they arnt hard to kill, but neither were the MM's.

Couldn't they fix the Toucher problem by making Vampiric Bite/Touch spells instead of skills?
Not only would that take effective care of Touchers, but it would also help my Necromancer build

Doubt it seeing as Gailes favourite character's a Ranger and she's prob all for the build which is why some of the other Ranger skills got buffed as well and I doubt the devs want to upset her LOL <waits for flames or post to be deleted>

Hmmm, suppose you're right there. I hardly use any of the new Faction Elite's...
Hell, the only actual skill I use from Factions is Flesh Golem...

How would making them spells help you? Seriously, have you ever tried to Vamp Gaze a monk with Spellbreaker up? Doesn't work too well does it? However, Vamp Touching does seem to get the job done. Touch skills are in the game for a reason... namely because there are anti-casting/anti-melee skills that need some way of being bypassed.
Nerfing necros in the process of "fixing" touch rangers is a bad way to go. Besides, touch rangers are easy to kill with almost any casting class.

They should be moved to spells... then we may see some use out of Cultist's Fervor! A touch necro finally!
And if Touch of Agony becomes a spell, Vampiric Spirit may become a little more useful!
Aside from that, something needs to be done about those pointless factions elites. I have found ONE use for weaken knees in a GvG build. That's also the only elite I have found use for (outside of Flesh Golem perhaps).
Possible Suggestions:
Vampiric Spirit - Works for any skill instead of just spell. It's the spirit that counts!
Cultists Fervor - Remove this from being an elite? The sacrifice is way too much to be useful really. Or drop sacrifice cost a bit? This isn't really a bad elite, there are just so many other "better" ones.
Icy Veins - Pump up the resistable ice damage. Perhaps reduce the recast to a lower time? Once again this isn't a bad elite, there are just better ones.
Wail of Doom - Doesn't really need any change IMO. Maybe a 5 Energy reduction in cost but that is pushing it.
Spoil Victor - Reduce recast time to 5 seconds to increase spamability. Neat idea for a curse. This way, some creativity may be able to get pumpin! (Spoil Vic + Dark Aura/AotL PvP Build?)
Order of Apostasy - Whoa energy cost. Sure, the skill is good, but it's not quite worth depleting your energy pool. Non-elite Cultists Fervor anyone? If the energy cost stays the same, make it do a little shadow/dark damage upon removal.
Soul Bind - eh? Polar opposite of weaken knees? Deleted. Put another elite here!
Weaken Knees - Perhaps add a little fall-down damage. Falling down hurts. Or how about a little speed reduction instead?
Discord - Seems viable, yet noone uses? Oh, it's under death magic... ouch.
Flesh Golem - Should spawn 10 Level 30 golems instead. MM is no longer suck.

I guess its just me, but I find the update to be a good thing.
Bitter Chill - increase damage
Chilblains - now can remove upto 2 enchantments
Enfeebling Blood has increased its AoE
and quicker casting time for Fetid Ground.
What Soul Reaping nerf?

No the would be purely idiotic...and it would completely over power vampiric spirit and Cultist's Fervor....wich is exactly what i think you're talking about...might be wrong but if wallow's bite was a spell there would be definate over powerment on VS....

Alright so it wasn't a nerf for anything but B-spike (which i still swear to have never done) half SR from all spirits
