I've searched and I have found different IWAY builds, but what is the purpose of the IWAY build. I don't understand the concept implemented by this build. The reason I ask is I HATE replicating others builds instead I like to experiment with my own

The point is to get your pets killed, use IWAY, hack and slash until you or your enemies are dead.

basic non-modded iway build

-6 w/r with i will survive, an axe, axe spike spells. and a bow. (MUST HAVE A PET ON U) 3 of 6 w/r must have one of the spirits, winnow, pred, eoe (not recomended for noobs) and revive animal

-1 order of the vampire nec casting as much as he can

-1 tainted nec casting as much as he can.

point is to send ur pets in first with ur bow. then let them die, and charge in. Slap on I will survive when u need to, and then just spike with axe attacks

there are so many variations, but prolly the best one is a combo out of tainted and orders:

6Warrior/Rangers with Pets, IWAY, Tiger of Fury, other skills...
1Tainted Necro: Necro with Tainted Flesh, spamming it on the Teammates.
Also that Necro can do additional damage with shadow skills. Now as this Necro can have 16 in Deathmagic, it is the best one to also use Putrid Explosion. Both Necros should coordinate and look for when its best to use
the well of profane.
1Mesmer/Necro (Orders) Spamming Orders, to multiply the damage of the team. Also when theres a corpse, as mesmer have fast cast, this necro should have the well of profane to make it less probable that he is interrupted. You dont need high death magic for this well, as with 0 in Death it holds on for 8seconds, and the effects are drastic for the ennemi team.

This is the best that IWAY has to offer, referred to as Trapway now. Balanced teams will ball up in ward against melee, 2 trappers is enough to deal with the heal ball.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this but the only way to sacrifice a pet is with a bow as a secondary weapon. Id also use frenzy as an alternative speed buff to iway when none of your allies are dead. You can have a pet with 0 beast mastery and shoot a bow with 0 marksmanship. This will allow you to put more attribute points into your strength, which will make the iway skill more effective.

ROTFL...well I guess I need a bow then!

Interesting...nobody ever instructed me to pull out a bow to send in my pet. And oddly enough, I didn't see too many people on my team doing that. Thanks!

My favorite IWAY build is
4 W/R with axes, and IWAY, and of course...pets, and spirits.
2 R/? trapper rangers for conditions and stuff (pets if they can)
1 N/? using orders to help regen HP
1 N/? using tainted flesh, because this enchant owns so hard

The one i ran doesnt look at iway.. because its a very modded iway

2W/R - IWAY
2R/Me - Trappers
1N/Mo - Tainted
1N/E - Orders
1Mo/x - Prot Monk
1Mo/x - Bonder.

This build actually runs very good.. the only minor is that you have less damage. youd say.. but thats not true because you get healed with this build you dont need to worry about deaths as much as the normal iway..
But i have to say. the 4 damage dealers need to be good.
But i held hall with it for 5 times.. So it is not that bad since it was a rank 3+ group.

Maddie,

I think I'd keep the bonder. Lose one trapper in favor of an Oath Shot spirit spammer. Lose the prot in favor of another IWAY. NONE of the IWAYs will have a spirit now since we have a spirit spammer. Make sure the spammer's EoE is a maxed one.

3 IWAYs
1 Trapper
1 Spirit Spammer
1 Orders
1 Taitned
1 Bonder

is pretty simple. if u take a monk that spams heal party then u want to use the EoE.
if u take 2 trappers then u want a lot of interruption.
if u take spirit spammer that is kinda of good and bad. if he dies no more spirits and if he doesnt the spirts will always be up.
a bonder might be crazy but some IWAYs take NR so..... is a choice i never seen a bonder group with IWAY, but other bonder groups i know my iway kills it.
