Default HD's Necro/Anything build

This is my build used for PvE, PvP, & GvG with my Necromancer (hot dead), the build itself doesnt have a name.

Profession N/

Attributes
Blood- 12+1+3 (base+hat+superior rune)
Soul Reaping- 12+1 (base+minor rune)

Skill Set
1.Life Transfer {Elite, Blood}
2.Life Siphon
3.Vampiric Gaze
4.Shadow Strike
5.Vampiric Touch
6.Demonic Flesh
7.Well of Blood
8.Blood Renewal/Ressurection Signet (soloing/henching,PvP,GvG)

The purpose of this build is to quest/mission with henchmen or farm by yourself--anywhere, since there are only 2 hexes which are not the main source of dmg. I personaly liked using this build in the desert versus Scarabs and Hydras in the desert, minotaurs were too easy with this build they dropped in about 15 seconds (due to casting time). I will explain how to use this build against almost anything.
First, pick out a target and cast Life Transfer {Elite} followed by Life Siphon and Shadow Strike (if there is more than one enemy in the area cast Life Siphon for extra health regeneration). If your target doesnt die from the first 3 attacks (some enemies drop dead), cast Vampiric Gaze. If your target is attacking you (melee) then cast Demonic Flesh followed by Vampiric Touch.
Whenever someone dies cast Well of Blood, since you get 13 energy from Sould Reaping you almost never run out of energy, step in Well of Blood for some extra regeneration. Repeat the process by cycling through targets, when low on health use Blood Renewal (when equipped), if team mate dies, you should first make a Well of Blood and then ressurect the person/henchman with your signet.

This build works the best in the desert and against the Grawl just outside of Port Sledge, this worked very well against the Titans in Defend Droknars Forge quest. I personaly had no issues with this build yet.

Pretty much exactly the same, but you don't use Awaken the Blood (+2 attributes) and no Dark Pact.

Awaken the Blood brings your Attributes up to 18, which is rather nice, to say the least. Dark Pact is there to make use of your regen, it's an effective and powerful nuke. Only downside is sacrefising damage, which works most excellent with your steal-life skills. I advise you to include atleast one skill that sacrifises health (even barbed signet would do). Well of Blood is nice, but consume corpse could possibly outsmart opposing necros, and is a good form of energy regeneration, however, nowdays I also run 9 death magic so I can use/and damage with Morgiffs Wand.

Mehh.. lastly, I dislike Vamperic Touch, shouldn't come in close range when you're a necro. It also costs a ton for the limited damage it does.

I was thinking of changing Blood Renewal with Awaken the Blood, but my pc is down right now so I cant try it out, and vampiric touch is a last resort (if enemy gets near you), Vampirict Touch is good in PvP since the warriors seem to rush the spellcasters, I've tried this a few times with Consume Corpse but since I also want to heal my party member(s) I use Well of Blood instead.
edit- for some odd enough reason dark pact never really apealed to me with this build, thats why I dont use Dark Pact

I think this build would be deemed a blood spiker variant; however, you use Life Transfer instead of Offering of Blood, and no Dark Pact.
For PvP, Offering of Blood is usually the elite of choice- Life Transfer is removed far too easily/quickly, and the long recharge makes it annoying to use, and will tip them off you are spiking them. Just hit Shadow Strike-Pact-Gaze-Pact and repeat, spamming skills at will. Very powerful self-healing. With Offering of Blood, you can spam life siphon quite easily, gaining +10 regen in any situation, almost. Also, offering of blood eliminates the need for maxing out soul reaping, letting you use a secondary attribute line for PvP, or another necro line. However, just slaping in Strip Enchant is always good, and curses... mmmmm.
Definitely a classic build, has been a CA/TA staple for awhile, and even the subject of gimmick tombs builds. Most top guilds run a blood spiker or two now as well. Really, Shadow Strike/Dark Pact/Vampire Gaze. One of the earliest skill combos you get, and one of the best.

I would go with Awaken also, but I understand why you might not want DP on a soloing char.

I tried a similar build in PvP and GvG with Life Transfer and Life Siphon, and no one removed Life Transfer or Siphon, I almost only use Offering of Blood when making minions since all my points from Soul Reaping go to Death Magic.
I see no reason to take OoB when soloing or GvG-ing (when soloing there is constant deaths, and when GvG-ing there is usually a battery or minion necro [death of minions and/or BiP/BR give me energy])
I will try this build with the skills that were suggested just to see the results in solo farming.

Wow this is an old post:

For PvP, this doesnt work anymore. Life Transfer gets removed, you wasted your elite.. great. I've been playing it a lot, as soon as you play anyone decent, it gets removed instantly. You > NEED < dark pact, there really is no question about this you have a LOT of regen and you arent using it. Also, when looking at your spells 10/10//10/10/15, you could potentially kill one target with this get "some" energy back ( to be exact 12) and take a long while before you can do any sequence again. Vamperic Touch is not a bad spell, but it's not energy efficient and you need to come close. It costs 5 energy more then Gaze, really not worth it unless you're a touch ranger.

Demonic Flesh is a good spell, but really questionable on how usefull it is, especially in PvP where you might need to recast this at a crucial point.

Here's what I use now for PvP and PvE:

Dark Pact
Vamperic Gaze
Lifebane Strike
Shadow Strike
Offering of Blood
Life Siphon
Consume Corpse
Res Sig /// Rebirth /// Verata's Gaze /// Verata's Aura

Running this at 16 Blood / 11 Death / 9 Soul

Consume Corpse is a lovely spell, it gives you energy (more then you would normally get with just soul reaping) health, and it can be used as a teleport to safety. Together with OoB you should never run out of energy. Life Siphon is spammable because of this large amount of energy and, unlike life transfer, can easily be re-applied when removed. Shadow Strike and Lifebane Strike both do the exact same thing and are good for a 200 damage nuke ignoring armor. Vamperic Gaze and Dark Pact are your energy efficient nuking spells.

If you want to run a build like this you need a 20/20 Wand and a 20/20 focus, which can be gotten at leviathan pits/traders/collectors.

Are you sure that you can effectively solo with this build? lol.
I was trying it, and it wasn't working all that great (I dunno maybe I was doing something wrong). Maybe it's changed since then?

I think that when he said PvE he meant group PvE not solo. cause it purely lacks solo abilities, no AoE at all and mobs wont drop fast enough not to mention no defense nor self heal besides life steal...

as for PvP/group PvE it isnt such a bad build, similar to most blood spikers, lacks the AoE effect to be a blood nuker, but with a double shadowstrike which for my opinion kinda kills the spike effect as its a 2 sec cast spell, if you put it on a M/N with high enough fast casting and perhaps stolen speed or something it might work, otherwise I dont think it can spike very well... 1 of them is enough as an opening move to the spike, the other is just useless...

you should first decide what you want to make out of this build, blood spiker/nuker/something else and than tweak the build to its purpose...

Erm I like the basis of the build but theres no way to defend well i mean necros get pwned up close unless you can do sumthing about it and +10 regen cant always work so i chose war as my second proffesion so i cud use bonnetis deffense because if i run outta energy i use it to restore then batter um all (this works well with trolls) and instead of well of blood i am fond of Soul feast coz say u go real low on hp like 100 use it and u got 250ish hp back then dem flesh and u got another 200 o.O Plus i like the little attacking loop of shadow strike pact gaze pact pact gaze....

hiya that build is very good for pvp but wen your soloing enemies hit you from all sides because there is no source of defense.

I like this build similar to one I was running but was not working. Same sort of theme only nothing compared to it. I will show oyu it so you can see how badly flawed it is. Demonic Flesh, Blood Renewal, Aura of the Lich/Blood is Power works better, vampiric gaze, Vampiric Swarm, Barbed Signet, LIfe Sipon/comfort animal/soul feast, Resurrection if with party or charm animal if solo and have lvl 20 pet. I liked this build as I could take heavy damage from multiple higher enemies with out dieing the only problem is it takes absolutely ages to kill one enemy. You are in for a long fight. I am going to use your build form now on though.

From what I see, your build puts heavy degen on one target, you spam your life steals doing little damage.

In fact, I find blood in PvE useless unless you're a battery.

You say you use this build in GvG, but if you did - I can assure you'd be laughed at by anyone experienced in GvG.

Curses has a higher output of damage, can double as defensive damage. Shadow strike and Vamp gaze are good, if you used by 8 N/Mo's. But you're only one.

I tried it out adn its good against 1 or two enemies but no more than that. I used for a few hours on dune burrowers and jade scarabs and I got some decent drops. I will now do the same htign and see how my build compres to it. But this is a decent build if you do not know of any other decent ones. I found brining a pet alogn with comfort animal worked better than vampiric touch and the one other spell I forgot. I have to agree with you on thing though, SS is the nastiest skill around and is extremely powerful. Unfortuanately it is one of only a few good necromancer skills.

ZenRgy, check the OP's date... You are suggesting skills that didn't excist back then.

Of course this build is off by now, its nearly 2 years old.
