Default KCP's Solo Necro UW Revival.

This really isn't anything new, but since KCP's thread is really old most of the new comers probably never heard of it. Props to KCP for sharing this build a long long time ago.

16 curse
8 heal
5 blood
rest in prot.

with the dumb-downed AI in normal mode you can now use this build again. Its not as fast as the Koning's E/Me build but this kills ataxes, smites, darknesses, and coldfires. Before the spiritbond neft you could tank unlimited number of smites and coldfires all at once, but not you can tank a group of smites at a time.

i did a search and rather then bumping a year old thread, i created this one.

I would take reckless haste over spirit bond and suffering over shadow of fear, which is now obsolete thanks to suffering's reduced recharge. I've done a bit of HM farming with the build, but aataxe can intterupt even protective spirit on HM and their savage slash seems to have half recharge. Tricky but doable, I didn't stick with it long enough to see if drops were better.

Here are the skill sets to make it easier for newbies (plus I wanted to try this out because I haven't yet):

[skill]Protective Spirit[/skill][skill]Spirit Bond[/skill][skill]Healing Breeze[/skill][skill]Shadow of Fear[/skill][skill]Spiteful Spirit[/skill][skill]Mending[/skill][skill]Balthazar's Spirit[/skill][skill]Essence Bond[/skill]

OR

[skill]Protective Spirit[/skill][skill]Healing Breeze[/skill][skill]Reckless Haste[/skill][skill]Suffering[/skill][skill]Spiteful Spirit[/skill][skill]Mending[/skill][skill]Balthazar's Spirit[/skill][skill]Essence Bond[/skill]

yea i tried it in HM and although it is doable, the ataxes interrupting PS is just cheating imo.

i forgot that suffering was buffed, so i will be using suffering the next time i do this. I personally never use reckless haste due to the long recharge. The Smites can use smite hex every 12 sec or so, making reckless a waste of a slot.

Ye, it's nice to run this again Spirit bond is a nice fullheal (if you got low armor it works on smites and graspings too) altho you can take also vigorous spirit. If ppl are confident enough so they dont need a selfheal, reckless haste is a good replacement which speeds up things. Just let the NM's rend you and recast your enchants and proceed killing, easy enough to do. most of the time you dont even need to dodge aatxes if you aggro carefully.

Too bad we can't do this in HM (would be very hard with lvl 25 NM's and the crazy interruptskills of aatxes)

i can consistantly aggro ataxes without poppiing a nightmare (using a long bow). So poping them together isn't a big issue. after i kill the ataxes i'll then proceed to look for nightmare, the lvl 25 ones. When i look for nightmares, i simple pop on my regular non-55 armor, then i can tank them easily.

It is frustrating cause they can salvage slash like crazy in HM. You can avoid it by NOT chaincasting anything at all. Ihowever it is just too much effort.

pretty much all farming methods of yore are functional again, except the ones with glaring nerfs(looking at you, prot bond).
Gladiator's, Soj'ing, eic etc etc.

Acutally Hard Mode as a 55 necro is a lot faster than regular mode on atts and grasps. as for nm's i eat them for lunch. Ill try to post a video later showing that out of, lets say 10 savage slashes i may get interupted once. It's all about knowing when they use it i.e. when u first aggro trigger 1 att to use his savage slash by casting HB late. As for nm's i just switch to 105 hp and cast ps, hb then ss after he rends me. and just wand him to death (takes about 5-6 seconds, even with 2 nm's popping u wont die).

you use your cover on the smites, let them remove, then ss then rh then cover - so rh is covered and ss is double covered. It's not meant to be instead of shadow of fear/suffering.

Only 1 in 10 intterupts in HM is impressive, will be interested to see that clip. I suppose half recharge on smite hex (I assume they've got that) causes problems, esp with the 15->12 second recharge buff. Are you using guardian?

no guardian, i actually use spirit bond or enfeeble blood - helps negate some dmg on smites if theres 5-6 in a mob on Hard mode. (depending on my mood hehe) or i bring defile enchant, since they have many enchants on them they take about 60-100 dmg per smite, just makes it faster.

as far as the interupts by atts on hard mode, its all about watching savage slash and trigerring it. as like ne other faming builds the more u run it the better u get. Also ive noticed that more than often u can kill 2-3 atts in hard mode w/ 1 ss cast (cast they attack so fast - they just die faster) depending on your positioning so u can trigger more ss dmg on them.

So guys tell me is the scatter from SS gone now in Normal mode? Because then it I'll do this again ^^. Also is the drop rate of ecto's in hard mode higher or not?
I know you get more golds, but do rare materials also count?

I can appreciate this build is being 'revived' in the light of the recent changes and I know it's both straight forward and solid. However, the task at hand, doesn't really seem easy at all.

I'm new to farming UW since I only recently came back to GW (2 year break) and heard about the way of the 55hp monk. I only barely managed to get a taste of what Elona's Reach was all about when they changed it.

Now it seems it will be hard ever matching storage accounts with my Necromancers peers. I thought perhaps soloing UW was the best approach (because I'm not too keen about the idea of duoing with random monks).

I have no problem grasping what to do but things always seem to turn out bad (PS, SS or HB gets interrupted even though I lure stuns with Mending/Guardian - also, energy management in general seems like a problem). It doesn't really feel like a safe run at all. Of course it has something to do with experience but I've tried to do this run numerous times without much improvement or success.

So, what I'm trying to say is that I admire those of you who can actually do this run consistently and gain profit. I would like to mimic your proficiency but I don't know how

to get the benifit from the -50 grim cesta, u need 2 points in blood +3 from the sup rune. cesta is req5, you'll get some energy out of it if you meet the blood req. on it
