Default how do i make a 55hp necro?

I have a N/Mo, and would like to make him into a 55hp necro, what do i need to buy, skills, attributes, runes etc, also is this the best way for a necro to farm? Or is MM any good? What would you suggest?

The N/Mo Boss Farmer at PvXwiki is a solid starting point. It explains common skills, runes, equipment etc. All other 55 N/Mo's will be variants on the same thing. Most people would run [skill=text]Insidious Parasite[/skill] instead of [skill=text]Vampiric Touch[/skill], the Monk skills will vary more widely.

Do not run a MM farmer - they're fine to run in Normal Mode quests, but not at all useful for farming, particularly in Hard Mode. Stick with a Curses build running either [skill=text]Spiteful Spirit[/skill] or [skill=text]Spoil Victor[/skill]. The general consensus is you'll get more drops out of SV than SS, but SV takes longer.

I'd also strongly suggest reading Fuzzy Taco's 55 Necro farming thread for builds and locations.

i seem to be having a few problems, this is my currently build:

Protective Spirit
Healing Breeze
Sprit bond
spiteful spirit
insidous parasite
mending
balthzars spirit
essence bond

with the attributes in the right place and everything.

This is ment to be a basic troll farming build, when i first enter talus chute, i activate the 3 enchantments which last forever, go up to a big group of trolls in the cave and active healing breeze, protective spirit and spirit bond and run in, i can tank them fine and everything but i dont do enough damage, my energy soon runs out and i cant do spiteful spirit because they constantly interupt it and insidous parasite does nothing. healing breeze and protective spirit dont last long enough and i constantly have to renew them which leaves no energy for the other skills.

I think ive just wasted nearly 100k getting all skills, weapons, runes, armor, runs etc. And i cant get spoil victor because its in a part of factions i havent been yet.

for trolls i suggest you remove 1 indious, 2 essence (cause no lack of energy)

and replace them with shieliding hands / shield of absorption
that will just work

he said he is lacking in energy... very odd indeed, I never have problems running any of my 55/105/130hp builds, there's always plenty energy... You get 2 energy everytime you're hit... If you not getting hit enough, then perhaps try Reckless Haste to increase their attack speed and the killing speed...

Could just be a lack of practise

I think it's not a very good idea for a beginner to start farming at a place where you are swarmed by enemies that scatter and that can interrupt you. Neither Spiteful Spirit nor Insidious Parasite will do anything, for instance, when cast on mobs that don't attack.
And Spirit Bond is an ambiguous spell for the beginner, too: you need to know that it is most effective when used in combination with low defence armour (starter or tut); you also ought to know that Spirit Bond should not be recast before it ended, as that is just a waste of energy.

I suggest you start practising on groups of 2-4 enemies. You will not need Spirit Bond then, so just replace it by any cheap kind of emergency heal (like Orison or Healing Touch).
Then go and pay a visit to the Jade Brotherhood Knights outside the Market Place in Cantha. Take them one group at a time, and in Normal Mode first, until you begin to feel comfortable with your skill sequence and energy management.
Afterwards continue training on Stone Elementals outside Sardelac Sanitarium and Minotaurs outside Ice Tooth Cave (both in Hard Mode, avoiding the bosses). You will learn that in order to stop a foe from scattering while in groups of more than three you must keep attacking him with your weapon. In which case Vigorous Spirit is quite a good heal spell to take along.

Once you feel you have the knack of the build, try to acquire Spoil Victor, either by playing through Factions or via Balthasar Faction and an elite tome.
Then you are set and ready to study these two very nice threads by Fuzzy Taco and Pariah Hellfire:

Default 55 necro? yes plz.

a 55 necro was the best investment i ever made in GW. it's a fun build that makes great money. what philo posted above is VERY true. you can practice on easier enemies in Normal Mode, then work your way up to Hard Mode, then work your way up to harder enemies. once you've practiced enough, and you want to make pure cash, you can try UW/FoW. they're in my thread (again, thankfully posted above) but DON'T try them until you've practiced/mastered the 55 necro.
