Yes, Necros can, easily. my necro build takes roughly 45-1:15 Minutes, yields roughly 10k in drops, plus materials, golds, dye, totems, and forgotten fans. just today I did a run and got 9.864k, 7 dye, multiple materials, one gold, 4 totem axes, and 2 forgotten fans.

so, does anyone know how to effectively farm these guys as a necro? right now, i have a N/R with all Ranger attacks, but it's slow and inefficient.

anyone know?

From what I have heard about this its a 55hp SS that kills pretty quick, I'll see if I can get a build for you but I believe a friend of mine said that it was N/M

55 SS can't do it, there are wind riders with interrupts and enchant strips and skale with enchant strips. good try though. : /

ZEALOUS bow (almost required)

for the first slot, triple shot is recommended, or Dual Shot (for those without a lux/kurz title.)
[skill]Needling Shot[/skill] (rapid fire)
[skill]Punishing Shot[/skill] (heavy damage interrupt)
[skill]Savage Shot[/skill] (additional attack skill for wind riders)
[skill]Kindle Arrows[/skill] (omg fire damage)
[skill]Natural Stride[/skill] (running)
[skill]Storm Chaser[/skill] (alternate with NS for constant speed boost)
[skill]Troll Unguent[/skill] (unstrippable healing, enough to tank a group of skale or a behemoth. not even needed for life pods.)

start out from ventari's and run to the falls. the route is on a map on this page. once you get there, run until you see your first group of skale. kill them by using triple shot whenever it recharges and keeping up unguent + kindle arrows.

keep on running, killing all skale you can find. if you encounter the boss group, kill the boss first by using savage + punishing to interrupt his life siphon. once you reach your first root behemoth, the fun begins:

get up close to him (out of aggro range,) then step forward jerkily. by this i mean tap "W" (or whatever your move vforward key is,) wait 3 seconds, then repeat until a life pod pops up. once it does, activate troll unguent, kindle arrows, then hit triple shot. when it tries to Orison, interrupt it, then kill it with needling shot. kill off the behemoth which is undoubtedly now attacking you, then inch forward until you pop the next life pod, kill it, and check for the third one, if there is a third pod. kill behemoths and pods till you hit wind riders. the thing about wind riders is that you need to kill one, run out, heal, kill another, etc. precast kindle arrows then troll unguent, and pull em. to kill them the fastest, follow a regular attack with punishing shot, then savage shot, till its dead. run out, heal up, repeat. keep on killing till there's nothing left to kill.

with minor soul reaping and a zealous bow (along with Survivor insignias) energy and health have never been a problem.
