What is you 2ndary?

This was my build when I only had Prophecies:

N/Me:

Spiteful Spirit
Parasitic Bond
Cry of Frustration
Power Spike
Desecrate Enchantments
Wastrel's Worry
Signet of Capture/Backfire
Rez Signet

Of course back then, necros get energy for everything that dies, unlike we do now. That was why my Soul Reaping was so low, I kept getting energy like mad back in the day.

Some people like N/Mo for MMing.
Some people like using Watch Yourself - N/W
I rarely see N/R or N/E (but I see N/E more often then N/R)

N/R can be ok if you take along Barbs and some Orders.

Barbs + Order of the Vampire= +30 damage or so.

Still there are better secondaries to go with.

Hey, Don't Knock the N/R, its been my favourite combo since i started playing GW, mainly for:
A) A pet
B) A bow that does more damage than a staff.

Are you implying that only noobs find value in N/R? LOL.

I've always found the pet and healing skills to be pretty useful, especially on solo quests.

I dunno: as long as you HAVE a wand/focus or staff weapon set or two, there's nothing to stop you keeping a bow around.

I've had great fun barging in with a sword after all the barbs, SS and MoPs are in place. Mostly because it looks hilarious, admittedly, but all those extra 16s and 42s add up.

That's not very a strong point. With Necro as primary you'd be much better off with a wand + focus or staff.

I agree, the Focus gives a lot of mana, + soul reaping your necro will be very strong, I think that the better necro is SS if you're in a party with a lot of physical contact.
here is my curses build.

N/
1. Mark of Pain (curses) <-- a lot of dmg if your party got an MM necro
2. Spiteful spirit {elite}(curses)
3. Barbs (curses) <-- a lot of dmg if your party got an MM necro
4. Suffering (curses)
5. Desecrate Enchantments (curses)
6. Insidious Parasite (curses)
7. Faintheartedness (curses) <-- the best vs bosses
8. something to rez

Curses 12+3+1 (rune and scar)
Soul Reaping 12

this one works very well to me

No, I'm implying that wasting 9 in Marks to use a bow is not so hot.
