I had an interesting Idea today and I started putting skills together, please let me know what you all think.
Now im not 100% sure you can achieve these attributes, I dont have access to guildwars right now
16 Death Magic
13 Soul Reaping
8 Deadly Arts
[skill]Assassin's Promise[/skill], Ebon Vanguard Assassin Support, Putrid Bile or Summon Ruby Djinn, [skill]Animate Shambling Horror[/skill][skill]Death Nova[/skill], Shadow Sanctuary, [skill]Verata's Sacrifice[/skill][skill]Blood of the Master[/skill]
Cast Assassin's Promise, then Ebon Vanguard Assassin Support. Since the target is cursed, it will be knocked down, interupted and receive a great deal of damage from its attack combo. Once the Assassin has engaged, throw Putrid Bile on it,
Once stuff starts dieing, you will be able to raise an army of Shambling Horrors to spread bleeding all over while your Assassin picks off targets along with the rest of your party.
Using Assassin's Promise enables you to use Verata's Sacrifice again, which got the nerfbat back before Factions came out. With 10 Minions up, verata will heal for 2000 health over its 10 seconds, compared to Blood of the Master's 1220.
Keep Verata's Sacrifice up and give your minions a Blood of the Master Here and there.
You can also Summon your Ruby Djinn (or other) or throw in a Death Nova for extra damage
Use Shadow Sanctuary, the Kurzick/Luxon Factions PvE skill to heal yourelf through Health Regen and to give yourslef a +40AR Bonus
In a nutshell:
Spell Recharge and Energy Return through Assassin's Promise
Energy Return from Soul Reaping
Ranged Melee Combat
knockdowns +Interupts
10 Minions
Double Energy Return from Shambling Horrors
Widespread Bleeding
Enables many (While Conditioned) skills for other Party Members
Bypass the Minion's Natural Health Degeneration for extended periods of time
Mass Minion Healing for Extended Periords of Non-Combat
Self Healing
+40 Armor

Only problem I see is you won't be able to keep minions up out of battle since you don't have anything to die for AP to work.

I've also thought of that, here is what I came up with.
Even though it is true you wont have any ennemies to fight outside of combat, you often encounter charmable creatures. These can be used to cast Assassin's Promise on and killed to recharge your skills.
Even if you werent to encounter any, you can still cast Verata's Sacrifice once before the next combat. Then, once the first target dies, your free to use anything you like again
Would this not work?

BoTM is in there, so I wouldn't hold non-combat to be much of a problem, would require a few ranks in luxon if your PuG monk decides "No heals for u!", I generally take [skill=text]Signet of Rejuvenation[/skill] just for overeager necro's, and its the only heal they get while above 50%.
You should save your sacrifice for when you have just entered combat, when you will be casting your assassin and nova and your summon, you can't spam BotM which is why your minions will need the regen.
I like it, 1 hitch though:
What if your assassin + it's nova don't kill the target you put the promise on?
You can't direct your minions to finish the job, and you don't have a spike to do it for you.
Putrid bile isn't really a good way to finish the job.
If I remember correctly, the assassin's corpse counts as a corpse for [skill=text]Signet of Sorrow[/skill] but is not exploitable for minions.
So you could squeeze SoS in as a S.O.S. spike energy free and there would always be a corpse near your target, that is not exploitable, so neither you can do it by accident nor can mobs do it.

I changed the order of a few things and took some out since then.
Putrid Bile, Ebon Vanguard Assassin Support, [skill]Assassin's Promise[/skill], [skill]Animate Shambling Horror[/skill], Shadow Sanctuary, [skill]Verata's Sacrifice[/skill][skill]Blood of the Master[/skill], (Optional)
Ok, so for when I have no minions and stuff, I open with:
Putrid Bile>Ebon Vanguard Assassin Support (since target is hexed, target gets interupted and knocked down, also suffers from -3 degen)>Assassin's Promise (target should already be very low on health)>Shadow Sanctuary
Target Dies
Animate Shambling Horror>Putrid Bile>Ebon Vanguard Assassin Support>Assassin's Promise>Shadow Sanctuary
Target Dies
Animate Shambling Horror>repeat, etc.
Once I have a few minions, I concentrate on Putrid Bile less. I find putrid bile being effective for the following obvious reasons: 1. It's a hex, therefor, triggers the interupt and knockdown from the assassin 2. The health degeneration, armor ignoring life draining to get the first few kills down 3. Does the AOE explosion from target dieing, a somewhat less powerful but useable version of Death Nova.
Once all 10 of my Shambling Horrors are up, I go into the following loop:
Animate Shambling Horror>Assassin's Promise>Ebon Vanguard Assassin Support>Verata's Sacrice/Blood of the Master>Shadow Sanctuary.
I always target whatever the minions target, so that I make sure that I get the kill for Assassin's Promise. I do however have my team to rely on the killing part though, so I always target soimething that I know will die.

I did have Signet of Signet of Sorrow in one of my original builds though. The thing is with the Assassin, there are so many minions and stuff doing the killing that, he just doesnt die most of the time. When the timer on the assassin ends, it doesnt count as a death, he just vanishes.
I found that the Asuran Summon I had just got in the way most of the time so I took that out for the moment.

I WOULD like to find something to replace Putrid Bile, preferably something low energy that I can cast quickly, preferably a hex.
My concern though is that attribute points are already spread over 3 attributes and most hexes are Cursed based.
I'm also looking for the best spread of attributes over Deadly Arts and Soul Reaping for the best energy return. Even though Assassin's Promise returns energy, I found myself a little low at times, though I use a custom made staff that doesnt have much energy.
I use a staff with:
+10 energy
Half Skill Recharge time of spells (20%)
Half Casting time of spells (20%)
Half Casting time of spells (20%)
+1 Death Magic (20%)

Yea [wiki]Putrid Bile[/wiki] = DM cover hex, [skill=text]Malign Intervention[/skill] was our cover pre-GWEN, but I don't see much use for it in this build.
[skill=text]Siphon Speed[/skill] is about the only Deadly arts cover hex, weather it's good or not remains to be seen.
[wiki]Asuran Scan[/wiki] is no good for a neco, [wiki]Pain Inverter[/wiki] isn't a cover hex, [wiki]A Touch of Guile[/wiki] is going to be real hard, to time from your assassin, but could be worth if cuz it's the only unbreakable can not attack hex.

I finally ran the numbers on Soul Reaping and Assassin's Promise. Here is what I found
WIth:
16 Death Magic (Requires +1 Death Magic headgear and +3 from Superior rune) in both cases
with +2 from a Major Soul Reaping Rune
You Gain more energy from:
10 Deadly Arts
10 Soul Reaping
Which results in a gain of 25 energy per death before casting Assassin's Promise and 20 energy after casting.
With a +1 from Minor Soul Reaping Rune
Here is where it gets touchy
You achieve the SAME energy Gain with all of the following attributes
10 Deatly Arts
9 Soul Reaping
AP lasts 12 seconds
9 Deadly Arts
10 Soul Reaping
AP lasts 11 seconds
8 Deadly Arts
11 Soul Reaping
AP lasts 10 seconds
All of these will result in a Gain of 24 energy before casting AP and 19 energy After AP. The difference with a Minor Soul Reaping Rune and the getting the same energy gain, is that you get to pick the attribute combination you prefer to set the duration of your AP to what you want.
I found this interesting and thought I would share.

I also did manage to find a low energy hex spell. I thought of using Parasitic Bond. Even though it is under Curses, there is no need to invest any points into Curses as its duration is set to 20 seconds.
It offers a weak -1 health degen and the health gain from it ending will most likely never trigger as the target should be dead by then.
It does however recharge quickly, has a 1 second cast (coudnt find anything faster casting cheaply) and recharges in 2 seconds.
The reason I had initially chosen Putrid Bile wasnt really as a Cover Hex, bout I can see how one could be useful.
Still experimenting

Doesn't matter, [skill=text]Parasitic Bond[/skill] triggers when ever it ends, when it is removed or when the target dies, or just after you die but that is somewhat lacking in the healing effectiveness.

Does it really?
I did not know that. I havent used it in a long time and all wiki says is that it ends prematurely if target dies. I guess I understood that wrong

It's a very concentrating build but its very different
You get to play Offensive/Defensive MM with high armor and big minion heals and skill recharges.
I like it
