Necro has superior energy management - in the right team build they can spam expensive spells from other classes like Monk and Ritualist and steamroll PvE.
An MM is the primary role of a Necro in your typical PuG. It's a chore that's best left to a Hero with their godly AI. On the other hand Heroes suck at playing a Curses build correctly, so that'd be the way to go.
Keep in mind that you can change your secondary class later in the game, so don't feel locked into Monk. That said, a N/Mo is a pretty strong farming build using either [skill=text]Spiteful Spirit[/skill] or [skill=text]Spoil Victor[/skill] for when you've finished all campaigns and are after some better equipment.

Does the sticky not give you enough information? If you feel it doesn't, please post what you feel should be included.

Mo/D and using an AotL enchant heavy MM build is also viable.N/Mo and jagged Bones may be even better,i really havent played with MM builds much
from my own experience i dropped N/Me with arcane echo and started running [skill]Mark of Pain[/skill] as basically a non elite SS + [skill]Reckless Haste[/skill][skill]Enfeebling Blood[/skill] Atrophy (to shut down the major players in a mob. high lvl eles/monks and so on) and [skill]Price of Failure[/skill] as fillers /cover hexes

Why would you bother to make 2 threads within 2 hours of each other, without reading the sticky?
Silly imo..

Why I like Necros
Necromancers can fill in as many things:
Support: you stay in the back (avoid being hit) and hex/well everything in sight. Orders of Pain/the Vampire, Well of Blood/Power, Enfeeble, enchant monks with Blood is Power/Blood Ritual, etc.
Minion Master: Aura Of The Lich/Animate Flesh Golem/Jagged Bones/Order Of Undeath, Blood of the Master, Animate Bone Fiend/Shambling Horror/Vampiric Horror, etc.
Boss/Monk killer: Spoil Victor
Mob killer: Spiteful Spirit, Reckless Haste, Mark Of Pain, etc.
Interupter: Shivers of Dread/Spineful Shivers
Remember, Necromancers have the 2nd largest healing (maybe 3rd) skill selection in the game. Monks have 1st, Rits maybe 2nd.
Necromancers look cool, they have great dances and they are the chosen ones of Greneth.
Necromancers are not idiot or fool proof. They are also the most vulnerable to stupidity (even more so than warriors and Assassins). They have the ability to be the most charitable of all professions. They give of themselves to the aid of others (and can eventually sacrifice themselves to death).
Also to answer you question about skills:
[skill] name of skill [/skill]
Remove the spaces between the brackets and the name of the skill. So:
[skill]spiteful spearit[/skill] is what you would have, I misspelled spirit to show you the way it is to be done.
