Default Build to consider?

Ive been toying around a little with this build lately

I call it the "Nuke Feast"

[Arcane Echo][Feast of [email protected]][[email protected]]

Its a little energy intensive thats why I use a high energy set while casting the spells but the -2 regen while casting the spells shouldnt be a problem cause you get 13 energy back for each kill

ive been running that in pve since, well

a long time. [signet of lost souls] can help too. also for extra fun, give a hero [ice spikes] pre cast AE have him use it use FoC cast it again, allows you to drop suffering for more energy

FoC is pretty bad. Small range, slowcast.

Echo CoP, Putrid Explosion + Putrid Bile, all outdo it.

For the build to be any good, FoC needs to not suck. And 2x ~120 adjacent damage every 20 seconds is epic bad.

[[cry of pain], [[spiteful spirit], [[fireball]... there's many, many skills that deal more damage than FoC

Thank you for saving me from having to say it. FoC, for all the difficulty of capping it, is a terrible skill.

Not to mention the fact that your combo costs 30e just to setup and an additional 15e per pop of FoC. It CAN'T kill anything because you don't have the energy to fire FoC enough to invoke death.

FoC was nerfed because of 'FoC spike' builds. High-damage ranged life-steals are dangerous, even partial ones like FoC. However, a lot has changed since then, and there are better defensive tools available now. The recharge needs to drop to 5-10s, IMHO.

this is where the PvP/PvE split updates would be REALLY NICE. (is capslock enough for ANet to hear you? it never seems to work.)
