Default Wail of Doom + Atrophy?

Anyone ever tried a build with these two skills before? Maybe a N/Me with Arcane Echo and Arcane Larceny, Diversion and Sig of lost souls for complete shutdown of monk/casters in PvE? How viable do you think this would be?

Shutdown in PvE = useless. Shutting stuff down is useless. PvE is damage output+healing. So basically Wail of doom is a waste of an elite slot.

Hmm I c. Just wondered if a hero could use it effectivly with out mircoing (seriously doubt it). Would work well in PvP though I assume?

Wail of doom in PvE would only be good in completely obliterating those hard to kill monk bosses, like Josinq the Whisperer HM

Dead things are completly shut down!
Ho and Wail of doom to shut a boss down isn't something I would recommend since afaik most of them have half hexes duration (I may be wrong).

If you have decided that pve is a case of
We hit things they fall over we heal than I am really sad because that's treating the whole game as pvp.
ie
you need the most speedy and efficient way of destroying the enemy because its a competition where performance is everything.

pve is also about having fun by trying different ways of winning and enjoying the challenge of handicapping yourself to do it, which is similar reasoning behind hard mode.
ie making the game more challenging because its become too easy in places

Still if that's the way you prefer to play the game good luck to you but I think I am having much more fun.

Diversion is your normal skill. You invest into domination and the skill gets better.
Larceny/Thievery on the other hand are one of the most special PvE skills - they actually get worse the more you invest into Domination.
The point of these two skills is to disable a random spell rather then steal it.
And in PvE where foes live for a few secs only - if you are running high domination - you end up hurting yourself MORE then the foe. You end up having a spell on your bar from a foe that died ages ago.
So Larceny/Thievery end up being useful with a VERY minimal (or none-existent) investment into Domination.Otherwise - like previously stated - you end up shutting down yourself rather then the foe.

(That's why I suggested ages ago - and restated that when PvE skill versions came out - that Larceny/Thievery should receive a bonus line in their description: "The skill reverts back to it's original form if target foe dies."
That would actually make it a VERY decent PvE option!)

Wail is fairly strong in organized, high-output groups. It's fairly shit in any other situation.
