advice please, best weapons for curse magic, then separatly for blood magic, wand stuff please, and things for a good offhand.

whats better?

loads of energy or high hitting?

High hitting as in wanding your targets? I surely won't do that. I prefer swords/axes/spears over wands becouse you can have allways the +5 energy bonus and you can use a +30hp mod. Depending on your build, you can use bleeding or poison lenghteners aswell. Combined with a focus of your choise, you would get an unconditional +17 energy, + 60 health and bleeding/poison enhancer (beware self-infliction as signet of agony, foul feast etc get lenghtened aswell, but on the other hand, plague sending etc allso uses this as a bonus.) and another bonus from the focus.

If you go with heroes/henchies, use spears, becouse they will treat you as melee fighters if you walk around with a sword or axe.

As a necro, you gain energy by killing things. There is no need for energy mods on your equipments.

What i suggest is a staff with recharge 20%, cast 20% and HP+30, HP+30.

or go wand/offhand 20/20 on both.

Don't worry about the wand/staff damage, since spellcasters are all about spells. Stave's are easier to manage since the req is only for the damage, while focus items the req is for the energy gain. Just worry abut getting a good prefix/suffix such as hale and or insightful and enchanting or fortitude or w/e, and the casting/recharge mod thingie whichever it is....I forget.

I've always found that the initial energy pool isn't as important as managing your energy. IE timing and energy gaining skills. Necros have the best Energy management there is IMO soul reaping. So I would get a hale, fortitude staff until you feel like using melee(or spear)/shield combos, which you shouldn't need until you go pvp.

Once you reach the top level staffs and wands damage is the same 22 max
Type of damage can be important I prefer cold as there are interupt skills that cold works with.

I am also cheap so want staffs I can have for free therefore I use Green items

Curses "Modti's depravation" cold damage Energy +10
half Recharge of spells 20% chance
Half Casting time of curse spells 20%
Half Casting time of curse spells 20%
Health +30

Blood "Mithurans Staff Dark Damage Energy +10
half Recharge of spells 20% chance
Half Casting time of Blood spells 20%
Energy +5
Blood magic +1 20%

Death "Woespreader" Dark Damage Energy +10
half Recharge of spells 20% chance
Half Casting time of Death spells 20%
+30 +30 health

The choices for the green staffs seem to either have the double health bonus +30 +30 or a double half casting time 20% 20%
Or you take the third option of +5 energy.
There are slight variations and all are listed here.
Including whether you can get the same effect using a modified collectors weapon.

Curses:
Because Soul Reaping gives you tons of energy, I use:
+15/-1 and HCT 20% on the wand, and
+15/-1 and HSR 20% on the focus.
This gives me around 79 energy with Radiant insignias.
Then I use a secondary weap (a staff with 20 energy).

With my nec i use 20/20 wand & 20/20 offhand and 10HSR all & 15/-1 wand and 10HCT all & 15/-1 Offhand and 20HCT 30hp offhand and 5^50 & 20 HSR wand..

20/20 are percents, as the above posts mention. HRS = Halves Skill Recharge of Spells, and HCT = Halves Casting Time of X Spells where X is an attribute. Just read above.

12chrs = 12 characters. which refers to the minimum amount of characters you need to make a post.

"Your Brain?" doesnt make up enough characters for it to be considered a full post so people will add 10chrs or 12 chrs to make their post meet the requirement

See above, but if you like minion bombing (a build with minions and death nova/Jagged Bones) consider a staff with +5e and 20% longer enchantments
