While I'm not sure it can be done with Prophecies only skills....I would say a good start would be to use [skill]Insidious Parasite[/skill] [skill]Enfeeble[/skill] followed by energy based non-linked skills such as [skill]Power Attack[/skill] and [skill]Wild Blow[/skill] with some stance maybe or some adrenaline attacks based on your weapon of choice.
I made a character based on this concept a while back but never got her beyond level 10....mostly just because I had other things to do.

Don't, melee. Simple as that. If you are new just run with whatever skills you have really, grab a run to droks and cap Spiteful Spirit ASAP. The There are SS wiki builds just subin Proph only skills fo rother campaign skills. SS bar can have anything on it really.

There is no such thing. All these 'death knights' with swords and necro skills suck, period.
If you want to use a weapon, cast [[barbs] then throw a spear at something.

I'm with Alex, but replace Barbs with [[Mark of Pain]. Hell, actually just use 'em both.

Gotta go with Stormlord Alex here...
The only time a N/W can go toe to toe with someone is in the low level arenas (Ascalon City; Yak's Bend), and that's after you've been run, or used an Elite Necro Tome to grab your lowbie some really nasty Elites.
In game, your face is gonna get eaten.
@ Necrotic
[Power Attack] is a linked skill. It's linked to Strength, he won't get much use out of it.

If I remember correctly there IS a TEAM build consisted of 8 Necro/Warriors. It's great for splitting in GvG(but that was like 2 years ago, so not so sure now) and the team who use that build Out Splitted [Evil], one of the BEST guilds that ever existed in GW.
It consists of serve atery, gash, final thrust as the 3 melee skills and some other necro skills that I can't remember =p

A necromancer is cut to pieces at melee range. They have no skills that add to armour and although the warrior has some, they're not ideal.
If you do insist on going in at melee range, at least bring something like [Enfeebling Blood] and [Insidious Parasite] to marginally add to your survival.
Don't make the mistake I made when I first played GW, and that was a N/W with blood skills.

The only reason to use a warrior secondary on a necromancer is for defensive stances, and those aren't really necessary if you have a prot monk.
Of course, [Save yourselves] is nice, as well...

The WoW death knights look pretty awesome. W/N is meh, but N/W using swords and shit just don't work. I don't like playing to gimmicks and generally like to experiment, but I know for a fact that this fails.

But it DID out split [Evil] 2 years ago, so at least in one time frame of GW history, N/W was good.

The only place you should even consider going N/W is RA. And the only skill u should go for is shield stance. It's just long enough for u to either get away or get insidious on the melee...if u are going N/W meleemancer u'll be minced meat in HM or high end PvE. Necros just don't have the 100 armor that warriors do.

I thought this was gonna be reminiscent of the legendary n/w [[riposte] thread. Speaking of which, if anybody has that link, that is always fun to read over.
p.s. no

The closest a necro should be getting to melee is a spear set and these
[barbs][rigor mortis][mark of pain]
found this :http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/a...-10000283.html (please refer to avarre's post)
