Necroing for fun.
Of late, I have been fooling around with three different Necromancer builds. Since they proved to be somewhat efficient, I have decided share them in order to gain a little insights from more experienced play.
Here we go...
Necro Spammer
Any, set to 11
Soul Reaping 10 + 1
Channeling 10
[optional, hex preferable, Malign Intervention or Putrid Bile recommended]
You Move Like a Dwarf
Necrosis
[optional, Bloodsong or Vampirism work fine here]
Signet of Spirits
Feast of Souls
Animate Shambling Horror
Animate Bone Minions
Equipment:
Superior Death Rune, Minor Soul Reaping Rune, Bloodstained Insignia.
Instructions: Spam Signet of Spirits and Necrosis. Malign Intervention is surprisingly effective in HM against spamming healers - it also features short recharge time. Feast of Souls does wonders for party survivability while Animate spells are for mopping up - they are not strictly necessary, but they help a lot if you want to build a minion wall.
Specific uses:
If you replace Animate spells with more spirits, feel free to own Norn Tournament (careful use of Feast of Souls will destroy only some of the spirits).
Use to provide cover for the rest of the party.
The build won't work with Spiritway.
Necro AP Caller for Spiritway/Discordway
Curses 10 +1 +1
Soul Reaping 11 +1
Deadly Arts 10
Parasitic Bond
You Move Like A Dwarf
Assassin's Promise
Ebon Vanguard Assassin Support
Finish Him [optionally, use Necrosis here - BBEGs who take long time to kill]
Barbs
Mark of Pain
[optional, Signet of Souls if somehow you run out of energy]
Equipment:
Fiery Sunspear of Shelter or similar, for additional energy, protection and Barbs/MoP support.
Minor Curses, Minor Soul Reaping.
Instructions:
This is AP caller variant. Use Parasitic Bond as an opener (if you expect heavy return fire or if your AP is recharging). Barbs is here to support killing difficult opponents. Use Mark of Pain as an opener if you need area damage.
