Good one handed necromancer weapons?
I've been seeing a lot of really good off-hand weapons with really good necromancer bonuses, but I haven't seen any good necromancer 1 handers to go with them!
Am I crazy, or are there not that many good 1 handed necro drops? I've been playing in Prophecies, btw. |

I remember seeing SOME good 1 handers, but that was in pre.

I use a very unique set-up that can not be met via a staff whenever I play Bomber or MM.
I use a spear with +5 energy and +20% enchantments and a death +1/20% health +30 offhand. With the above weapon combination one can have both +20% longer enchants and +1 death/20% as a bomber or MM (which imo proves quite devistatingly useful). ~LeNa~

Your luck is pretty unusual - talking about *drops* you should have on average found multiple semi-decent wands before finding one offhand that's about as good.
Now first and most important thing is how advanced are you in the game? First character? Got only Prophecies? Got level 20? Do you have a build that you want the weapon to work with? Can afford to buy low-end (up to 5k) items from other players? If you're just starting, often the best and easiest to find choice are 2-handed staffs as they're fairly common drops and have by far the best chance to be usable. They're also most universal, since the mods you'll find on most of them will be useful no matter what build you're currently using. A Wand + Focus combination can be better if you know what mods exactly would fit your build, most widely used choice for Wand+Focus is having the mods: Halves Skill Recharge (HSR) of ~Attribute~ Spells and Halves Casting Time (HCT) of ~Attribute~ Spells on both the wand and on the focus, it's called the 40/40 set. |
