Should I Do This Or That?
Sorry for the "Open Ended" questions lately but I don't want a really long title, so... On to my post...
To get an overview of my past, basically: I have played countless other RPG's like W.O.W. (Which I was a warlock in) and have always been a "caster" class. So, when I first started Guild Wars, I wanted to try something new, so I picked a melee class (More specifically a Dervish). Now, I am getting the urge to go back to the caster-type class (More specifically, a Necromancer).
Note: Please, again Please, DO NOT tell me I should just play the game as I like to know what is going on first!
Now, when researching the /N, I have come across several articles that give me skills to use a beginner, mostly the "Summon Minion Ones", and have looked up on the Wiki some skills that I think fit most appropriately with my new character...
While looking some of the skills up, it looks I could get them far easier in Guild Wars Night Fall by just buying them, then I could by doing quests in Prophecies (Tyria). I am more specifically referring to Animate Bone Minions Because if you look at how the skill is acquired, it would be far simpler to just buy it in Kamadan (Night Fall), then to wait till the middle of the game to just do a quest for it... Wouldn't it be simpler? Also, I have noted in earlier experiences that it is much, much easier to get money and items on nightfall then it is on Prophecies...- What would you recommend: Me Start a /N on Prophecies or Night Fall
Also, I have noticed some skills only available in Factions, etc...- Will I still be able to get that skill if I were to say, Start a character on a Prophecies Campaign
Those are my two questions, And Thank You For Your Time

1 - If you want to reach level 20 quicker and get the skills sooner start in Nightfall. Prophesies is good for the first character you ever play.
2 - Once you reach certain points in the campaign that your character starts, you can travel to the other campaigns. This happens the quickest in Factions, then Nightfall, and slowest in Prophesies (the same as leveling).

You don't seem to understand what ppl are trying to tell you : play the game through. The reason is, skills are distributed around many skill trainers, many of which are not accessible until you get to end-game outposts. I'm not telling you to rush through the game, I'm just saying that if you want to stick with 10 skills for the rest of your life, it's your choice. If you want to have diversity in your builds, and want to have access to every possible build around, you HAVE to play the game through. Trust me, you won't have fun with your build with only starter skills, you NEED elite skills and other high-end skills from trainers.
You played WoW, so let's compare : you can play your lock at lvl 20 forever and stick with an incomplete and unefficient talent tree. OR you can get to 80, develop your spec, do high-end raids and dungeons, etc. When I played WoW, I didn't give a damn about learning everything from the game, as lvl 10 stuff is quite different from lvl80 stuff. I just rushed my chars to 70 (then 80), THAT'S ALL. Don't even try to understand things from a beggining area perspective : things change so much at the end of the game it's not even worth it.
As for the campaign question, I'd suggest Prophecies, as you seem to love starting areas. On the other hand, you can start in Nightfall and lvl faster. Don't worry with the question of "questing or buying" skills : both campaigns are designed differently. Proph doesn't reward you tons of money, but you get skills by questing. NF awards you lots of money in the beginning, but no skill quests, so you can choose whatever skill you like. Don't worry about skill points, you get them so easily they're practically free... So in perspective, buying a skill is no big deal, and you don't have much advantages in waiting for a quest reward.
For the cross-campaign skill question, yes, you can access every skill from every campaign, regardless of your original campaign. It brings us once again to the question of skills availability : you HAVE to PLAY THE GAME THROUGH to access every skills. Tohn in Kamadan doesn't sell the same skills than Dau in the mouth of torment (end-game outpost in NF, look it up on wiki).
You seem to think in a WoW-like way. I can assure you that GW is much, MUCH more flexible than WoW in terms of builds and mistakes : there's almost nothing you can't revert! Asking questions here won't enlighten you much. Playing the game through and learning from your mistakes WILL make you a better player, and GW will be much more enjoyable.
Imo, if you want a skill and know it's vital to your build, dont wait for the quest to get it : go to the closest trainer and buy it asap. So, just play the game, follow primary quests and missions, and your skill list will develop with time, it's as simple as that.

Seeing as you have played WoW, I think I should inform you that EVERY SINGLE part of your character, sans appearance and primary profession, is 100% changeable and you, at no point in the game will you ever have to farm for better gear, by the time you access the max gear you should have the cash, or close, for it. Just play the game, it really is the best way to get to know it and enjoy it.

You're never stuck with certain professions. You start off with 4 Character slots for a reason. You can go /N if you want. Try it out. But you'll soon realise you have no energy for summoning minions on top of your own build and then you'll just revert back to your original build or maybe think of going /E and bring something more productive and synergetic to your bar, such as conjure skills or even Mark of Rodgorts with fire weapons.
Play through the game, bla bla bla.
Read Wiki for simple questions.
Maybe even try a few rounds of RA using PvP characters. this way you can get a feel for all the classes. You are by no means tied down to one character, and you'll realise that you'll be switching characters quite often once all of them are level 20 and use them for differen't purposes.
Never compare this to WoW. "casters" there are different to "support" professions here where Shutdown and interrupts are game winners in PvP. I am saying this because Guild Wars was originally designed for PvP, the campaign was later in development.
You ask too many questions. Things like this can be researched through the search function, through guides for those who have just started playing and there is no harm in trying out whatever you want in-game, you can always change skills, attributes, weapons. as long as you learn from it.

If you're going to start a necro I'd suggest using curses skills rather than blood magic or death magic. Blood magic is just meh for pve and minion master is best left with heros. Heros have much faster reaction time, plus its kinda hard to cast death nova on all ur minions when they are clumped in a ball and all of them are named "Bone minion". Soul Reaping is godly energy management so just stick all ur leftover attribute points in that.

Thats why you leave "minion BOMBING" to heroes with death nova, and the real "minion MASTER" to the player...
Minion master with OUD as elite and ebsoh is pretty epic damage output..running away from what the bomber does.
Also minions early on in the sub 8man areas really make an impact! often effectively doubling your party size especially at >lvl20 makes for easy steam rolling.

Why is it that every time some completely vague and utterly devoid of meaning topic pops up, it's always you?

I would suggest starting a character in Prophesies and playing at least till you get to lions arch.
That's the best way for someone new to GW to play, if you like prophesies then continue if not jump to Nightfall and play on from there or even pause the prophesies character and start another in Nightfall.
That way you can compare the two game styles in a fairly short time.
When it was the only gw game in town Prophesies was great to play and still has the best story line.
Several years of play later and I find the slow development irksome esp the time it takes to get to be a fully powered character.
This is because I no longer play it 12 hours a day 7 days a week, so prophesies character development would take me months and months to reach that point.
With fewer players doing the basic missions I also find I need to depend more and more on heroes and henchmen.
So now I begin in Factions or Nightfall get some heroes and build them up to lvl 20 and begins blitzing through all three games.

First of all I thought this forum was post to be a kind and helpful community and lately all I have been getting is criticism for my posts... Why?
Where else am I supposed to ask my questions?... That's why I liked this forum so much but now I am starting to see some true faces of the people here... I hope you're not all like that.
And actually, there have really been only two people on here who offered me a friend request in game so I wouldn't have to ask such "Vague" questions.

It's because every single thread you post is full of questions that would be answered by you simply playing the game itself.
If you want to play a Necro? Then go for it. If you have all three campaigns, you have 8 character slots. Start it in whichever campaign you want. It doesn't matter which one you start in, as you can move over to the others after a certain point which can be reached quite quickly.
But actually playing the game yourself, and occasionally using the wiki, will answer your questions better than asking them on here.

I'd recommend starting your character in the campaign that lets you create the prettiest toon.
