Next necromancer buffs
What buffs do you expect necromancers to have in the next skill update and what would you like to see? More synergy with physical damage? Jagged Bones enchanting all minions, perhaps? Nothing is too powerful with Anet and the Test Krewe on your side.

Not too sure how the current status of necromancers is, but I do know that Jagged Bones originally enchanted all your minions, and then was nerfed, so don't expect them to un-nerf Jagged.

I would rather them look at other classes now that they buffed the others.
but for now, I would like to see improvements too..
Contagion, fetid ground, rotting flesh, putrid flesh, rising bile, vile touch, etc etc

Expect to have in the next skill update? None.
Like ajc said I'd rather Anet try to buff other professions. (Namely the Dervish, I just want more synergy with Mysticism and the Scythe)

You may want that, but it's not up to you to play the way you want and how well, sadly.

Fetid Ground, Death nova (For humans), Jagged bones (For humans), Vile touch, Jaundiced Gaze (This shit sucks), Unholy feast, Cacophony, Shivers/Spinal (Don't need dupes of this), Bitter Chill, Feast of the dead, Signet of suffering, Soul leech,

Surely people who enjoy necromancers would like to discuss further developing the necromancer profession. Too bad necromancers don't have access to blind in their own skill lines, perhaps that can be changed. Lower casting costs for the various minions spells too.

I am somehow under the impression that this thread serves no purpose whatsoever except to whine about necro buffs while mesmers get nothing.
Oh, and it would be RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing sweet if they were to make icy vein damage armor ignoring.

Rangers cant deep wound in PvP without second prof, that's like saying every class should be able to give every condition, necromancers can apply every condition except for dw and blind, not to mention the best condition clean up and spreading, they don't need MORE

Did everybody just miss out on Cuilans sarcasm ?
As a mesmer you clearly don't need buff's Cuilan, you tricked everyone into thinking this was a usefull thread by using Cry of frustration.
Let it go, all in all you're just another toon in the game.

Necromancers should be buffed in the same way Pious Assault was buffed.
Soul Reaping
For each 3 ranks of soul reaping, whenever a creature or spirit dies in the area, you recieve 1 energy.
This would allow necromancers the ability to finally capitalize on the deaths of spirits.
What? You mean this would kill MMs? Much like how HM killed elementalists and ER killed half the monk builds out there? Ah, well, not like they don't have 50 other overpowered builds they can run.

I'd like to see Icy Veins do less damage, but made to be armour ignoring (like the rising/putrid bile explosion.) At 17 soul reaping, it only does ~50-60 damage. Which is just pathetic.
I'd like to see all the "cold damage" skills changed to armour ignoring, again, Deathly Swarm? 30 odd damage? Worthless.
It's probably about time anet split every skill in the game into pvp/pve so that spells are actually worth using in PvE instead of spamming armour ignoring skills like cry of pain and necrosis.

A slightly easier option could be to rework HM mechanics?

Does anyone know why Necrosis was changed to be a skill btw?
On topic... im hoping for a buff to death... minions are awesome and atm death is pretty much only good for dumb Toxic Chill spike builds.
Curses and blood have now been buffed like beasts... its deaths turn

Barbed Signet.
There are some weak elites and skills that I would like to be altered, but there are far more pressing issues and no doubt more buffs will make other players cry over their so far untouched Dervish and Mesmer professions.

Possibly, but then I'm not being paid to figure these things out :P All I know is HM = boring mode and that most elemental skills on a necro just don't do enough damage, even on NM. Doing EoTN now and my Icy veins (over 100 damage on initial cast) does barely 40-60, depending on target. I'm trying to break away from Discord spamming, but there's very little point

No Arcane Echo on Necrosis anymore either lol.
Death Magic has Discord, which is awesome. Minion bombing is also great. However every other skill is pretty much worthless, though some of them are useful. (Icy Veins, Rising Bile, Putrid Bile = ~200 AoE damage when someone pops, more if Rising Bile lasts it's full duration.) Blood magic still relies too much on low life stealing and degen, which isn't ideal for PvE. As I said, I'd like to see a split for PvP/PvE skills to bring the others in line or at least to make them viable alternatives.

I believe, that the problem with the life stealing skills, is that not only are you doing damage, but you are healing yourself in the process. This makes it hard to find the point where the life lost and gained does not make it overpowered. If they were just dealing raw damage, it would be much easier to buff the damage output.

You've overlooked the fact that lifesteal could not be protted (until very recently and even then only in limited measure).

I'm happy, I just want to see that update they were going to do to make it so you can cast wells using a health sac instead of a corpse.
