Bone Minions die quicker if I understand correctly. This triggers death nova and makes them more effective for minion bombing. I've never played as a minion master tho so someone else should verify.

Depends on what you are going for. If you are looking to fuel your bar by taking advantage of soul reaping and or using death nova then animate bone minions is the better choice. If you are looking for longer lasting minions that do more damage then shambling horrors are better

Always go with bone minions. They make a far more economical use of corpses, which are limited in HM where your minions are dying quickly and you are constantly having to replace them. Jagged Bones is a useful elite, both for getting jagged horrers and for replacing dead minions without exploiting another corpse.

Shambling Horror has too long a recharge to be workable as your only minion.
They're fine on a bomber build as a secondary minion if you have the room - they add some durability to what is otherwise a very fragile wall.

This. I use both on my hero and we get quite an army going.

Shambling will be more sustainable because they turn into jagged horros upon death, whereas norma minons will just die.
If you've got jagged bones though, Animate minions is a much better skill to use, as it's been previously said, they die quicker because they are about 5 levels lower.

I tend to prefer minions with AotL and masochism. Best of both worlds tbh, and bleeding in pve is useless anyways

Shambling Horror
Bone Minions
Jagged Bones
Death Nova
These 4 skills never leave my Olias's bar. Both make very efficient use of the corpses lying around.

Thanks for the advice. I don't have Aura of the Lich or Jagged Bones yet. Only about 3/4ths of the way through Nightfall ATM. I'll use both for now.

This.
Though you should not be running a bomber build (as opposed to a master build) on a human in the first place...

If you really really like Shambling Horrors, add another MM, Bone Minions by themselves are what make bombing fast and efficient. Shamblings are only made once every 25 seconds anyway.
