Signet of Suffering
Am I missing something there?
Previous, something along
For each hex, you deal x damage (up to 140)
Now it is
You bleed, Next necro skill causes bleeding against one target
At the same time they change Barb Signet
8% sac, non elite
You cause AoE bleeding without inflicting bleeding on yourself.
What was point of this change?

They pretty much made Barbed Signet (PvP) an elite (the new Signet of Suffering) so PvP'ers have to use their elite slot to get the functionality (all builds used Barbed Signet).

The point is that PvPers want that self-bleed to power AGaze and the energy management it gives. This took away a 0e non-elite self bleed that had some semblance of an offensive effect. Now they have to give up their elite or move to Signet of Agony (poor offensive effect, long recharge, long self-bleed) or rely on the other team to give them conditions to Foul Feast.
As for PvE purposes (or really any purposes other than powering AGaze), the new Signet of Suffering is crap.

I know they are reluctant to split skills, although they did split Barbed Signet this time.
But I do wish they at least had some (conditional) damage component in the PvE Signet of Suffering.

Question is; is it worth an elite slot?

In PvP, yes.
In PvE, no.
Whilst previously I would have preferred the PvP version of Barbed signet over what we had in PvE, the new version I think has a little more use (but it is restricted to one builds and is still perhaps questionable). Signet of Suffering was always useless though and in PvE, it still is.

It does more than that.

Bleeding spread for pressure and fuel Oppressive Gaze for even more pressure. Combined with Life Siphon the guy was pretty damn good at dishing out pressure. He was also a solid split response; able to kill pretty much anything that couldn't clean nor heal themselves.
Angorodon's Gaze just let them fuel this.
And that was all done without an elite.

Am I missing something? People seem to be acting like there was some uber signet of suffering meta speed clear and this nerf will cause rage deletions of necroes... It sucked before, basically "yay I can do what discord does.... every 20 seconds... and slower... and with more set up...", they nerfed an OP non elite, buffed a formerly useless elite to a functionally people seem to like an abuse because it was non elite, and can still abuse tbh, just less so.

It was a purely PvP thing. PvP is a very different land where degen actually matters. As does self-healing.

Well i think they ruined SoS. It was good the way it was stacking hexes then spiking the target.

It was terrible. I can't think of a single situation where it was a good thing to use over other, far better elites.
