Invincible Monk Build
I have recently been hearing alot about this "Invincible Monk" build. So, I went about creating the character, and now he is a lvl 16 Mo/Me. The thing is I do not know what skill set people use to make the "Invincible Monk" build. I know that two of the major skills are Protective Bond and Balthazars Spirit. The thing I do not understand is why sometimes Protective Bond just ends...why does this happen when no Shatter Enchantment skill has been cast. Also, I was wondering if anybody has had any experience with this build. If you have, please leave me some feedback about what skills you use for farming. I would love to know what people use just so I can draw my own conclusions about what is the correct skill set for my character. Another nice thing to know would be how you allocate your attribute points. A rough estimate would be nice. Thanks for all your time guys!
PS: I already know about the 105 and 55 monk builds. I just want to know about skill sets and allocation of attribute points.

This will happen to you when you end up with negative EN. I don't know if it is a bug or not but if you have negative EN it cancels all your enchantments. If you have the gear to make a 55 monk, you can be vulnerable to this, particularly vs monsters or players that hex you.

Read the skill description. It says each time protective bond prevents damage, you lose x amount of energy, or it ends. It does not remove all enchantments when you have negative energy, you just lose protective bond if you are incapable of losing x amount of energy.
On a side note...these monks are not invincible...

People on guru are known for being dumb, its called ENCHANT REMOVAL. Stop playing with your storm bow and read the skills you before you use them.

shane the problem you are having with the protective bond ending is very simple. and the answer is Essance Bond. Protective Bond, Essance Bond, and Balth. Spirit are the 3 main enchantments. As you get better with your build you can try out new enchantments that work out aswell, but the max about of enchantments is 4 (stops energy regen) anything higher than that will make your energy degenerate.

This is retarded. I run a continual 9 enchantments on my monk quite frequently. Yes, they're all maintained.

Really? That's truly amazing, since you only have 8 skill slots. In addition, this post is about a solo build, so I fail to see how you can put 9 enchantments on yourself and maintain them.

and invinci monks got nerfed. each hit takes 3 energy away instead of 1. sad sad thing
