I'm still not sure how you run past the ice beast It seems to stay pretty close to the imps. but what you said does help. I didn't know you could time everything like that!

Sometimes when I want to farm those back imps, I pay 50 gold to the lyssa statue and get more hp regeneration. After killing off the shadows(Usually one SoJ) I just fight the imps with that stupid Ice Beast on me. I have like 5 slow hexes on me, but I keep walking all the way back to the bottom of the hill (back to the cave) after I aggro an imp. From the bottom of that hill, the imps should stay at the top with the chance of one imp in your bubble, you should be able to angle it so their attacks dont get blocked. Cast SoJ and just chill even with the stupid beast on you and moving if that one ice imp tries to get maelstrom on you.
As you can tell, I hate that stupid Ice Beast =]. I should get back on IDS farming, I enjoy fighting the imps, just dont enjoy running there, and it is really good money, I find I make more money doing this IDS run than like UW farming.
P.S. thanks again for the guide remmeh =D

Maybe once every other round. I'm not to sure if they made it harder to find now but most likely you'll get it within 3-4 runs.

I personally don't find this run worth it, because the rate in which you fail is to high and the rate in which they drop them is to low. Maybe if you switch those to around it would work?
Anyways I'd rather hydra farm because that can be done half asleep!
Brother Gilburt
Although the idea and build is completely genius! Great idea!

Since this thread is about solo-ing the ice imps for IDS with a 55Hp Monk, your build wouldn't work for it.
If you want advice about your specific build for PvE or PvP then I suggest that you create a new thread rather than hijacking someone elses thread.
Anyway, the IDS drops very rare these days. It's a good run to do if you fancy a challenge but not if you want to get rich from selling IDS.

I'd also like to add that the price for an IDS has dropped significantly since the whole "ids craze".

did this, pointless really, warr gets the job done much more efficiently, although longer in most instances, but better never the less. Only thing I use 55 for in springs is to hunt avacara, still warr can do it, but monk does it in fraction of a time.

funny how ppl understaimate a 55 monk on this run. 55 monks can kill the ice imps 10 times faster than a warrior can and don't have to worry even with 4 trolls and 3 golems and buch of ice imps. take bouts bout 8 mins to run to the cave if u masterd this and 10 mins to clear. they can also take on as many as trolls and golems without dieing and if u die it makes its 50 times easyer then with lower health

How does that make sense? It's "more efficient", yet it takes longer?
