Acolyte of Dwayna ~ Monk or Necro farmable?
I'm doubting it.
I saw a thread about this before... and the only suggestion for farming was some Warrior build or somesuch....
But Alliance Battle taught me something ridiculously amusing today:
Parasitic Bond > Avatar of Dwayna.
I'm fairly sure it wouldn't be able to keep up with her in Hard Mode, but that wouldn't be necessary to get her green anyway.
I just found that with no other spells I could reach a total stalemate against the Avatar of Dwayna in AB by just spamming Parasitic Bond on her constantly. I cast it, she removes it by hitting me, I get about 125 health back... process repeat until form wears off... then Insidious Parasite, Enfeeble, Spiteful Spirit (I was using at the time).... =P
I was just wondering if, provided she could be drawn away from her friends.... this sort of thing could be used to deal with the infuriating one in PvE? (Normal Mode only)...
As for the rest of her fancypants Enchants..... Well of the Profane could smash them down assuming some body could be provided.

I don't think the boss can be drawn away from her mob. That being said, if you were to go one on one with the boss, I bet a 55 type monk with leech signet and spirit shackles and some ability to do damage could probably kill the boss. heck, just find someway to negate melee damage, interrupt or negate the avatar, and deal damage (i.e signet of midnight, leech signet, price of failure, spirit of failure, spirit shackles, enfeeble could negate almost all melee damage, keep the avatar from activating, assuming the boss doesn't get HSR on the avatar, and deal plenty of damage.)

Bosses cast at half time, she uses like 6 healing skills, most of which she can instant-cast without after-skill delay, and she hits for double damage. So no, covering with insidious wont work.
You can't pull her. She's smack down in the middle of a mob. You CAN however kill everything around her then use the midnight signet+signet of humility N/me build to kill her, but I'm not sure how effective it is.

It might, since the place's so packed, but I think not: She's too close to the minions on the back, and if you don't manage to kill her in one go, she'll sure as hell be at 100% when you go back.

Anyhow... I must find a way to get her green.... that is the ultimate objective here, since it is undoubtedly the best Dervish Green in the game.
Even if that means I have to team-kill her enough times to nix her completely..... sobeit....
Then again... I don't know how hard she hits...
Provided I can nix her Avatar, I could probably beat her with Spirit Shackles, Enfeeble and Insidious Parasite... (though it would probably take an elite to shut down her avatar, so no SS nor SV, which could make all the difference)...

I've tried 2 builds to farm her and both worked ok.
1) Me/Mo - Mantra of Ins, Signet of Hum, Signet of Midnight, Scourge Healing, Scourge Ench, Empathy. Don't bother putting a whole lot into insp, just enough to get humility off before its duration ends. edit( Now that I think of it, I am not sure if this one worked, from what I remember, I dropped the smiting and went to curses with price of failure and empathy for dmg)
2) Rt/Me - Basically spirit spammer with painful bond. Interrupt her first avatar then throw dissonance to interrupt others.
Both builds took a good 3-4 times before I learned the niche of timing, etc..

Necro Primary possibility?
I don't have a PvE Mesmer... and my Rit is still Shing Jea fodder.
Could anyone video the farm by any means?

Acolyte of Dwayna can be farmed quite easily with a N/Me,
Mantra of Inscription, Signet of Humility, Signet of Midnight, Spirit Shackles, Price of Failure, Spirit of Failure, Reckless Haste, Parasitic Bond.
Max Curse and Inspiration.
Clear the Mob, flag Heroes Away, wait for her to return to human form, and go in. With mantra of inscription and signet of humilty, you can keep her forever in human form.

I don't think the spirit shackles build works in HM. I killed my way there on my monk, flagged the henchies away, waited for the avatar to end, and started spamming empathy/spirit shackles. Works great for a while... then when she goes below 1/2 health, Faithful Intervention ends, which gives her enough energy via the Dervish mysticism bonus to recast the Avatar form. I guess you could try to time a Signet of Humility right, but if she can't recast the Avatar, I assume she'll cast something else instead, which means you'd need to time a second SoH when that ends, and so forth...

I don't think anything can solo her in HM. You don't have a better chance of getting a green in HM anyway, so why bother?

shes just as easy to solo in hm, if not easier as she attacks faster, but as the above psoter said .. the drop rate of greens isnt increased in hard mode, they are not rare items , so the extra time spent just getting to her then killing her is useless .

But you can get an elite tome, and they seem to have a higher drop rate then greens do.
