I could use suggestions about where to find normal and elite MONK tome drops... Anyone aware of a place where monk tomes would drop in a way akin to the elementalist tome drops in Skyward Reach? I tried Snake Dance for the griffons and azure shadows, but never saw a single tome for a week. Anybody found a good place?

normal monk: mantid monitors SJ island, generally you'll get 50/50 monitors and necros, but its a good percent.

I wish I had known... unforntunately I already did the mission "Refuse the King" This isn't under repeatable quests on guildwiki, so did I blow my chance to use this one for farming?

Is it possible for Ascolonians to get to SJ island? I haven't looked extensively, but I haven't come across any apparent means of getting to the island if I'm not canthan. Do you know how, if it's possible?

Just found it on GuildWiki. How foreigners can reach Shing Jea Island:

Prophecies or Nightfall campaign characters have to take a ship from the Kaineng Docks on the Cantha mainland (talk to First Mate Xiang).

So what part of the island? Pretty much any/everywhere?

Me too. Got an ok Dead Sword on my very first run, but nothing of note after that. They seem to be a bit on the stingy side during that quest.

There Are smiter monks there, I suppose they do drop normal monk tomes, as in HM this should be the case. Can't tell first handed though.
