Default PvP Monk

Hi, well I started a PvP monk and I only have prophecies, can someone give me some tips on what I should get for skills and stuff? Thanks alot~

search the forums for the WoH hybrid bar everyone here basically uses it, Its a solid Hybrid Bar, and its the build your going to get recommended (in some cases Ordered) that you use. I would recommend it if your going to do PvP, I'm going to assume you are a beginner in the monk class in which the Bar is a good starting point for monking in PvP. Plus it's a solid bar that is basicly made up with all Core Skills.

The only things you would need to do is substitute Dismiss Condition (NF Skill) for Mend Ailment (Core) or Mend Condition (prophecies) since you don't have Nightfall. You would also need to use Remove Hex rather then Cure Hex which is a EoTN Skill.

for starting out id try Mo/Me, its what i used when starting. i think its the best way to start pvp monking "some may say im wrong"



For this build keep channeling up and if you get dazed or shamed "or both" you can use contemplation of purity. Reversal of fortune "ill call it Rof from now on" is used for that "o shit" happens, If a warrior is going to bulls stike you or some1 is about to die and you skills are rechanging or if they are low and you know you dont have time to get off Word of healing, Rof is the best way to save people when it comes to that, but do NOT spam this skill it will cost you energy, I am not saying dont use it when needed, but its a prot NOT a heal used for times of "o shit" not to be spamed on some 1 with a warroir on them. If warrior is on some 1 best bet is Guardian it will save you enegy and keep them up longer. Guardian is your friend, pre prot your self with it if there are melee and or rangers on the other team at the start of the match, this will save you from a lot conditons and knock downs. Port sprit is a good way to save you self from spikes from eles, sins, wars, dervs so on, any time you hear the ele snap of lighting/fire on me or the sin shadow step sound 1st thing i do is prot sprit my self or rof my self learning this will save you from a lot of deaths. Like RoF, Mend ailment is not to be spamed keep dazed, deep wound, blind "off melee/rangers" and crippled of your self and melee. A lot of people will say wtf when they see revealed hex on this bar but i think its a good starter hex remove skill

This build is the same as the other build but it has holy veil and sig of devotion. Holy veil is a lot better then revealed hex but id still start with revealed hex. Pre veil will become your best friend as a monk, this is when you put veil on before the match "or mid match" before you or target ally has a hex, this will keep people from using covers on their hexes, but dont forget to remove it before the cover hex comes or forget to remove it after finding out that the other team has no hexes that hurt you like shame and diversion does. as for sig of devotion you can replace that skill with dwaynas kiss or something, but i like having a sig on my bar for RA just because you never know what you will run in to.

Soon as you get you build set up id start working on armor for both of the builds you will need
Head: Survivor healing scalp of minor healing
Body: Survivor of vitae
Arms: Suvivor of minor divine favor
Legs: Suvivor of minor protection
Feet: Suvivor of superior Vigor

After that you will need your weapons. You will need a few sets

Set1: Adept protective staff of enchanting " 20RC/40FC, 20%enchant" this is the most used set, for me any way

Set2: 20/20 healing wand and a 20/20 healing focus "aka the 40/40 set" i only use this for Woh is i have time to use it, not really need but is nice to have

Set3: Sword with +5energy/30HP and a shield with +30HP and +armor vs all damage types "will need a lot shields for this" or -5/20% if your lazy like me:P and a shield with -20% to crippled and dazed is good to have as well. this set is known as the "high set" i use this set a lot, its a good bump to armor/HP

Set4:Wand with 20/+15-1 and a focus with 20/+15-1, this set is known as the high energy set it will give you +30 energy if you need to keep people up and do not have the energy to do so, but it will give you -2 energy regen so DO NOT stay on this set for long, I try not to use this set, a lot of times i will let people die over using this set for AB/RA cause a lot of time it will hurt you more then help by killing your energy
