I had to do a cap of WoH and buy some of the other skills but its worth it if these monks do better than the one from the first post, here they are:

Ethereal light is only good when paired with HBoon. To be a little more clear, your 2 spot heals should either be:
(A) [word of healing][dwayna's kiss], or
(B) [ethereal light][dwayna's kiss][healer's boon].

I might also add that, if you make 1 bar a HBoon bar, Heal Party should go on the bar because of the great synergy with HBoon. (I should also, also note that heroes are sometimes too reluctant to use heal party when they should.)

Why is remove hex on the first bar when you have cure hex?

Gah! Just noticed the attributes. Should be something closer to 12+1+1 healing, 10+1 divine favor, 8+1 prot for both builds.

Because it gives you a very big heal that almost always gets the target out of the danger zone, with a fantastic heal/energy ratio, and a fast cast (for a heal spell) and a fast recharge. Red-bars-go-up is not a monk's only job, but it's their most important one; and WoH is the undisputed king of red-bars-go-up. The only real competition is using HBoon to elevate several skills.

@ the folks saying that heroes spam out their energy if given Dismiss: I don't recall experiencing this. Perhaps it's because I tend to run additional removal on necromancers...

any more suggestions are welcomed though
1. Can target youself (old one couldn't)
2. Great heal for low energy
3. Best answer to spike other than pre-prot/RoF
4. fast recharge
5. decently fast casting time

thanks about the WoH thing

the stats are actually 12+1+1 healing, 12+1+1 for protection but thats because I dont know what good divine favor is (I'm new to doing builds for monks)

edit: I just looked at divine favor's description in game and yeah, I'll put it up to what you said, thanks and remove etheral light for another heal spell (or protection spell maybe)

neither of you monk builds have any points in divine favour. not muich point being monk primary if you're not going to use primary attribute. in that case, might aswell go nec primary for SR energy management?

lol... SoD>Guardian anyway you look at it, and it's not like you have so many better Prot Elites for PvE...
how does 50% block from guardian>75% block AND +24 armor from SoD when you dont have too many other viable elites anyway...
RC is only good in condition heavy areas, the rest are pretty crappy...
yes you can always go HB+WoH but I find it personally as way too much healing...

50% block in pve is enough, Guardian costs less energy then SoD and is more spammable.

I like seeing red bars go up in my party, not seeing things having a lot of block chance, slowly dieing. It means people usually run WoH hybrid bars with guardian for blocking, any way you look at it guardian is better then SoD.

Energy management is the key to a good Hero Monk. Multiple spammable low-recharge spells including 10e prots like [[protective spirit] and [[spirit bond] are a great way to get your team killed. No doubt they're great skills but not on a Hero bar, at least not while the Hero is in control of them. They don't get nrg management, so keep it simple.

I just disable the 10e prot unless I get into a sticky situation.
