Dumb Build. Don't Look.
First Post
Inspired by phan. I had thought of something similar for TA, but I was never motivated enough to make it.
***Requires a Hero/Ally to bring Healer's Boon.
Small Intro
Fun build I made after boring myself with WoH for months.
Disclaimer
It takes time to get used to this. It takes skill to run it. It is worth it.
Skills
1. Patient Spirit
2. Dwayna's Kiss
3. Orison of Healing
4. Light of Deliverance
5. Shield of Absorption
6. Protective Spirit
7. Arcane Mimicry
8. Auspicious Incantation
Attributes with runes included
4 Inspiration
16 Healing Prayers (Depends highly on your skill/tastes. I monk with 555 hp)
6 Protection Prayers
12 Divine Favor
Armor
Full Survivor
Superior Healing
Minor Divine
Minor Protection
Superior Vigor
Rune of Attunement
Equipment
(Any) Sword of Fortitude +5e
Shield of Fortitude -2 while enchanted
Hale Staff of Enchanting
Usage
Should be self explanatory. Before battle cast Auspicious Incantation, then target the hero with Healer's Boon and cast Arcane Mimicry. You will now have two elites (and full energy ). Switch to your 20% enchant staff and cast Healer's Boon. This will make it last 55.2 seconds instead of 46. Watch very closely the recharge on Auspicious Incantation. You should recast HB exactly at 80% recharge. If you do it correctly you will only have a 10 second downtime on HB. Remember that you heal 50% more. If you are used to healing at 85%, heal at 77%. Try not to over heal.
Ups
*Wicked Heals. LoD = 111 party heal for 5 energy. (over 900 with self Divine Favor)
*Amazing Energy Management. Instead of casting 3 spells to heal for x amount, you only need to cast two. (Imagine your 5e spells costing only 3.3 energy ) Auspicious Incantation takes care of Arcane Mimicry's high energy cost.
*50% Fast Cast = Less Interrupts. Its like having a 12 Fast Cast mesmer with 12 Divine Favor.
*Decent Prot. If you ask me, its either big hits (Protective Spirit) or lots of small ones (Shield of Absorption).
*Good at both spot heal and party heal.
*Still an ok monk if HB gets stripped.
Downs
*No condition / hex removal. I suggest bringing a N/Mo hero to counter this. Make him a minion bomber, with Dwanya's Sorrow, HB (disabled), Foul Feast and Infuse Condition. Rest is up to you. Hexes are 90% harmless in pve.
*Incredibly stupid people won't understand the build and post retarded questions/comments, which will waste my time.
Variations
*Orison of Healing is not 100% needed. Switch it as you see fit. Light of Deliverance is a good enough self heal (150ish- lol). Suggestions: Ethereal Light, other prots.
*If theres a Prot monk just switch prot skills to whatever you think is necessary. No need to make a fuss about it here.
*If you switch LoD for WoH you will have an infuse (400 hp)
*SoA and PS to other Prots, depending on the area. You could also change them for Inspired Hex/Revealed Hex if on a hex heavy area.
Note- I expect people to flame me about the Superior Rune. Let me clear some things first though. A monk with 16 healing prayers will outheal a monk with 14 healing prayers. It should be simple enough. Yes, it does take more skill to stay alive, but its the tiny differences that separate the good from the average. If you play with minors, that's completely fine with me. I respect your opinions. No matter how wrong they may be.
Just kidding I'm not like that. Just back 'em up with solid logic.
Smite.
P.S.
...just an idea...
...Elemental Attunement + SF anyone?...

If this is in fact for TA... or perhaps you just weren't clear and mean't you were inspired by a TA build?
-Why suggest a minion bomber?
-Why a superior healing prayers rune? Isn't 14 healing prayers enough...
-Why no protection vs. melee on your bar? Is the OTHER monk supposed to carry that?
I don't like the idea of having to rely on someone else for my build to work. [Arcane Mimicry] is pretty easy to interrupt and [Healer's Boon] can easily be stripped. The idea isn't bad but I think the "boring WoH/prot monk would work better.
Edit: I tried Dual Attunement+SF once and it wasn't worth it

You're right, this is terrible.
At least get rid of [orison of healing]. One of the worse healing spells. Even with Boon.
LoD is still nothing compared to WoH or ZB.
Disenchants own [healer's boon].
You are also wanting in 40/40.

Lose the sup healing, remove Orison for a condition removal. Hex removal too if you want, over Auspic.
I don't like changing my builds so I go with the same thing every time.

I haven't tried it yet, but orison of healing was an immediate turn off. The rest of it looks decent though. I do like superior runes they make a difference...

Not the best build, hate bring mimicry, and havin HB on a char and disabling it is such a waste of their elite slot

Just to clear some things up.
* There's many definitions/interpretations of the word logic. I meant it as valid reasoning. No need to get all philosophical.
*Auspicious is pretty much needed in the build. Arcane Mimicry is 15e, you need something to make up for it.
*This is for pve... it wouldnt last 3 matches in TA.
*No big need for a 40/40. You have 50% faster cast already from HB.
