Male monks aren't ugly. I believe that they have one of the best armor sets in the game to a profession.

Anyways, I make a monk as a male, prophecies/nightfall [they both have great hairstyles], and as for names... Here they are: Anti Death, Blind Guardian, or Heal For Cash.

Male Monk in NF - Sunspear Armor is the best looking starter armor imo.
Female Monk in Factions - they look the best there and level fast

Names won't mean anything to you unless you get your own.... so put on your thinking cap and you will thank me 6 months from now when you have a uber char. that is truly your own. XD

Btw elder what do u mean by uber and yes i will think of my own names.

I Think im going to make a male monk but ot too sure on the campaign yet i like factions due to quick leveling giving you a jumpstart into the game because im not a noob and dont have to learn the bassics but on the other hand most of my chars are on factions and im really bored with it ...Any suggestions for campaigns now dont worry about the names i need to do that myslef and any cool girl armour?

Factions
Female

Factions for everything except Paragons and Dervishes.

Armour for female monk: I suggest Kurzick Armour. Elite or non-elite is the user's preference; both look good.

Factions does get boring if you've done it many times over, but it's still better than the grind in Nightfall and the genetically defective faces in Prophecies.

Prophecies or Nightfall. They have probably the best hairstyles/faces in the game besides the female monks.

Truthfully though female canthan monksare probably the best. They aren't all bald like the Prophecies monks. As for Armour, Kurzick is rather nice, both the elite and non-elite versions. I've got one set that's kurzick vestments & pants, and canthan boots. Another set that's dwarven vestments, elite kurzick pants and elite canthan boots. Both sets use woven hand wraps.

Seriously though, Prophecies is going to be infuriatingly slow if you've already got lots of monk skills unlocked. Between NF and Factions, I'd prefer starting a monk in Factions.

Sex, definitely female - better armor choices, because most monk female armor skins look better than their male counterparts.

I like Nightfall personally. It feels (to me) that I have access to things I need in a short amount of time (examples being EotN, max armor) and Ascension in NF is pretty simple as well. The only draw back is that the beginning is sort of long.

I play a male monk and I think that you guys are exagerating about how ugly they are. Mine is from factions for the super fast leveling to 20. The only thing i dont like about being from Factions is that you have to have an Asian face and I'm not Asian so I'd rather have a not Asian face, but no biggie.

Anyways, back to the question, I find Elite Luxon on Female Factions monks very nice, but it's just imo.
