My problem is being able to survive against an sin or ya, a ranger. I can pretty much hold my own against anything else. But yet last week we won 9 rounds. And yes, your right, my whole team isn't doing any dmg, and for about 3-4 mins were all still alive and we all die. Usually me first.

I have been casting my prots on my warriors before battle. I can maintain energy to a certin point, but as you pointed out a mesmer is deadly in terms of energy.

I am getting better I think as I took a few tips thanks to this forum. Looking at the whole battle field. I assume if they have a ranger, warrior, or sin, their comming after me. I quickly use a shield and blocking if I need to and start protn.

I have also died instantly against 3 warriors and a mesmer. LOL.

Shield bash and Bonettis Defence. I know the Adren cost seems high, but I never have any energy problems in RA anymore. And shield bash is just so sexual.

You just have to get experienced then you will know how react.

Though it's kinda hard to react when VoR+backfire are on you and your teammate is getting killed...

I would recommend not running a healing build in the current RA meta. I have found I can hardly keep anything alive with my usual cookie cutter WoH build. Now instead I use Zealous Benediction, Mend Condition and Mending Touch on the same bar is just smexy. Also RoF > PS.

So anyway in terms of energy I would practice with ZB, if you can place ur ZBs right, you can place your WoHs right. As for mesmers kicking the living crap out of you, yeah there isn't much you can do unless you run a PnH build, the only drawback there is lack of rebarring power.

As for problems with assassins, I don't know if it's been mentioned yet but Shield Bash puts them in their place fast. And as for rangers, if its a good one your basically screwed, if hes running magebane and he knows hwo to use it you have a massive problem. Nothing you can really do in this situation except hope that you get ur half casts off and hide behind a wall.

Oh and lastly, this is what will turn you from an average monk, into a great monk do not heal unless it is absolutely necessary. In other words if McDonald the ranger over there is getting hammered, but hes got lightning reflexes going, don't heal him as he is not under the immediate threat of death. Basically what this allows you to do is 4 things,
1.Not Spam and so conserve energy
2.Move around thus keeping the melee off ur back
3.Lets you keep the skills you need for when you need them, e.g guardian or soa or whatever.
4.Not freak out when your whole party falls under 50% and go on a frantic heal spam rampage that kills ur energy. As you adopt the mentality of, oh hes on 50% I should keep an eye on him, as opposed to CRAP HES ON 50% HEAL HEAL HEAL.
