Hello all!

I spent a ridiculous amount of money playing 9 rings this time around and have almost reached rank 5 Golden. I wanted to start Chest Running today with my monk which I have not attempted before to both increase my rank and to earn some of my cash back!

I was looking for some advice on chest running. Where is a good place to start out? What build should I use with my monk and where? Would I be better off soloing the runs or running with a group?

Any advice will be helpful! Thanks in advanced.

well the title is account wide, lucky unlucky and treasure hunter so...you can use any profession, i would run port sledge or the first place before eotn boreal station or whatever

I chest run Jade sea, Area outside Boreas Seabed, Dunno name but that in HM it is really easy with shadowform (Any Prof)

Also the area outside Domain of Fear in NM for inscribable UW weapons (stormbows drop often and worth a good amount)
If you want to try and break even this area is most likely the best bet

You can chest run outside imperial sanctum for some golds and hopefully a GPB

Witman's Folly for elite tomes is decent.

Simplest and fastest run: Boreal Station run. I think it's an average of 1 chest every 1.3 runs, but the run only takes a minute or so.

Kilroy Stonekin's Punchout Extravaganza. There's always a Locked Chest there, in both NM and HM. Wait until Kilroy uses his Shout (IMS for you!) then run the chest, map out, repeat.

Best thing I've gotten from the chest were max inscribable Fellblades.

I CR with my monk all the time, since it's my main. I go out from port sledge, shadow step(Mo/A) up the ledge directly in front of port sledge, and proceed east once I hit the back wall. you'll find about 4-5 chests each run.

Dash/Dark Escape/Death's Charge/IAU/Shadow Form/Heal Area/Dwarven Stability/Holy Veil

The only hexes come from bosses. SF for the ice imp bosses (if there is a chest next to them). Maintain Dark Escape and keep up IAU(+24 armor) for extra dmg reduction. Would also bring a weapon set that 'halves casting time of healing spells 40%' for heal area.
