E-mng Hero Monk in Dragon's Lair
I am about to set out for killing Glint in Dragon's Lair. According to Wiki (http://guildwars.wikia.com/wiki/Dragons_Lair), three good skills on my hero monk - Ogden Stonehealer - would be:
Light of Deliverance (e) to counter the health degen in the 1st area
Dwayna's Kiss to make the most out of Death Nova in the 4th area
Inspired Hex to remove Crystal Haze once Glint change skill use
Apart from these three skills, right now my monk has Resurrection Chant, Mend Ailment, Healing Ribbon and Aegis. This seems to work, but feel free to comment.
Now, the problem is the energy management. The monk is (clearly) a secondary mesmer, and I thought the management would be a walk in the park. But it is not.
First, I tried Drain Enchantment, but since there aren't a lot of spellcasters at least in the first two areas, this did not work.
Second, Power Drain, Waste Not, Want Not and Tease (e), but Ogden doesn't seem to have any interest in interupting anything.
Third, Energy Drain (e) and Energy Tap, which he will not use, unless I tell him specific to do so. Which I won't.
Fourth Channeling and Mantra of Flame with me casting Greater Conflagration, but Ogden doesn't get near enough battle to use neither.
Lastly, I tried out Auspicious Incantation and Ether Signet, which he gladly uses, and they work, but their recharge is too long to have any value in battle.
So, what do I do? Is it me, that don't get the first thing on heromonks? In any case, I would really appreciate if the three Wiki-spells could stay on the skillbar.
Thnx in advance,
Ross

try putting Ogden on guard instead of avoid, that way he will use offensive spells he has on his bar (spells that specifically target an enemy, doesn't have to be dmg) such as drain enchantment or tease/power drain/waste not want not etc.

Interrupting Crystal Haze is a better idea than removing it.

@Yuna
Thnx, that made the whole difference. With Energy Drain, the least complex e-skill IMHO, Ogden now has almost all the energy he needs.
@paddymew
Yearh, I figured that out from Wiki. Inspired hex is mainly for removing it once Glint stops casting it, and maybe a bit while too, as it's free energy, because of the non-recharge afterwards.

I wouldn't ever put a res on a monk, hero or otherwise.
In that 6 seconds he spends reviving someone, someone else dies due to him not healing.
Make midliners bring hard res, flesh of flesh, res chant, restore life even. Never ever resurrect.rebirth.
Light of deliverance isn't that good, heal party will do the same thing. Drop this wiki spell.
Healing ribbon is bad, due to it healing no one and or random targets who don't need healing, and for 10 valuable energy.
Dwayna's kiss is good.
Inspired hex is good, it's spammable at last part, also bring leech signet/power drain for other management and put the hero on guard and their energy problems should be solved.
Greater conflagration is only if you're bring lots of phyiscals that don't know how to weapon swap, drop that elite altogether and make physicals bring stance ender or be smart. Since the skill that deals the damage only deals it if hit by physical damage, and is a stance.
There is also lots of blind, so for once a condition remover isn't a /bad/ idea, but it's still not needed since blind is spammed.
Here's a throw together, not perfect, let the pros fix that, but better than the one you had in mind

Word of Healing
Dwayna's Kiss
Signet of Rejuvenation
Heal Party

I am not sure if you are doing it in HM or NM, but if HM then I would bring UA as the elite (so that party members are resurrected immediately decreasing chances of a full wipe).
Instead of removing Glint's hexes, I would focus more on dazing the monster...prevention is better than therapy.

OR you could take an ER hero and a N/Mo or N/Rt with a few spike-heals to ease the pain when Vekk stops using ER at inappropriate times.
