Hi,

In UW, mantra of resolve seems to keep ending prematurely while fighting ataxes (sp). I'm casting prot spirit, healing breze, and SOJ.

Might anyone know why this is ending prematurely? Do ataxes have wild blow or something?

This may be the dumbest question I've asked in a few months, but I must ask it: Do you have any attributes in Inspiration Magic?

If not, that is your problem. 30 seconds is a lot less than you may think it is. I remember on my 55hp Necro / Monk build, I soloed FoW and I used Vigorous Spirit as a cover enchantment for the mesmers in there. It lasted 30seconds as well... and believe me, when you are busy with other things, it may seem shorter than you think it actually is.

Aataxes have Wild Blow, Mantra of Resolve is a stance. As Wild blow ends stances, the Mantra will seem to be running out too quickly.

Bladed Aatxes do NOT have Wild blow! Unless you can provide some Screenshots of them using it then it is not true.

Did ANY of you actually read the skill description?
Mantra of Resolve:
Stance.For x seconds you cannot be interrupted,but each time you would be interrupted,YOU LOSE X ENERGY OR MANTRA OF RESOLVE ENDS.Your mantra is running out because they're trying to interrupt you while you cast,you're losing energy,and once it hits 0 the stance is broken.Seriously,if you don't know what your skills do..

I thought it was impossible to solo farm FoW with a 55hp Monk... in any way, I would use Holy Veil as a coverup.

On topic: Mantra of Resolve ends when your energy hits 0, if you don't have any points in Inspiration you're energy will drop to 0 within a second at the Grasping Darknesses.
