lol, I think I am gonna finish my mes change her 2nd prof to Monk and caller her my WTFmes55'r.
Awesome thread!
For those looking to buy Enchant mods I'd recomend Lions Arch first, then Augury.
Anyone know how this build stacks up with the Queen outta Augury, the Well of Profane will trash the enchants but there might be hope (with a team).
I am kinda mad that I scrapped my Me/Mo to make a Me/N before I read this, I had just set her up with Desert collector armor too... doh!
Ty Avarre for making my Mesmer char's even more fun!

Any 55 hp build in the desert is asking for trouble (well of profane or vampiric touch = dead...not to mention that they will degen the crap out of you). You are much better off running a non-55 build out there (if you are trying to kill the queen)

Hey Avarre... quick question. I know you use IW as your main attack in this build... and I've been thinking, would IW ignore the KD on SoJ... because you don't actually STRIKE the target (seeing as how IW does the damage instead of the weapon) but I'm not sure seeing as how I don't have a Mesmer (right now) so I can't exactly test it

Yes, you ignore the damage and knockdown of SoJ. Just don't let IW wear off while hitting the target

Im just curious what armor you have, enchanters, virtuosos, etc. Id like to have the exact same to be sure of myself.

I have 15k noble armor. I had too much cash after the IDS rush and I thought 'whoa, black 15k would look cool.'
Nobles is actually in my opinion more useful than enchanter... I don't die to lack of energy (you're self sufficient). But sometimes when Prot gets distracted or I lag, I can get hit while casting it. Noble can save the day sometimes (a smite hit me in mid prot spirit earlier today, I took only 38 damage and lived, whereas a normal hit is a good deal more).
Plus Noble/Virt 15k has much higher style!
NOTE : At some point in the near future I'm updating the first post to hold not only the Solo UW build, but all the other 55 setups I've developed. Expect the 2man UW tanking build, avicara/troll builds and the run, and whatever else I feel like putting up (like more pictures). So watch this space.

Im 99% sure that Avarre uses 15k nobles for his farming set, and uses the fow enchanters for other PvE
I use a full set of yaks bend courtly for my set
EDIT: Crap he beat me to it...
P.S. sorry for my absence this weekend Avarre, i wont be as tired this weekend so ill be up for filming our vid

She's using Noble's, last time I heard, for his/her 55 set. (Since the Mez is female, I'll say "her".)
I use Noble's too, since personally I think Noble's set looks best.

The only possible tactic I can think of is to remove all your mesmer's armor and run across the plains, and the sheer shock will eradicate all mobs.
But it can't be soloed by mesmer. Nu-uh, no chance, sorry 1v1 with a mindblade doesn't give enough energy... and don't start about 9, even without degen they'd eat you
Not to mention it would take FOREVER to clear serpent... oh, its possible, if you memorize their heal spring pattern and don't miss any from whirling, but my oh my will it take some time.

I have a (stupid ?) question : does the 17% enchantement on the sword really works (I mean, 17% for this exemple) even if you're not a warrior at all ?
thanks.

Yes, the enchant mod gives the modifier bonus regardless of class so long as you wield the weapon. The only thing requirement effects is the stated req mod (damage on weapons, and energy on focus items).

Oh I have another question, is there a place where you can go for some free training for this build before going to the UW ? I'm not familiar with the UW at all so, maybe I can spare some K by trying it somewhere else before...?
Thanks.

yeah go out of Destiney's and kill griffons, rockshots and sand giants or out of augury and take on hydra for practice. or go in the first area of the Elona's mission and practice on minotaurs and dune burrowers.

i know this is a little late from the date of the post but if your looking for a monk or necro to go along if im availible i would be more then happy to do a 2 man UW run with a 55 mesmer. i know what the necro takes to support a 55 monk but does anything change for a 55 mesmer? ive done plenty of runs with my 55 monk and a few with my 55 mesmer. just message me in game, Richard Frost(Me/?), Nathan Wilde(Mo/?), or Lizzy Deathbane(N/Me) im usually on in the range of 7-10pm pst. this goes for any 55 Mesmer looking to have some UW fun
