I tried it on a scrimmage, by the time the arrow reaches the target they're already in spellcasting range, unless you have the height advantage anyway. The easiest thing to do is just assume the first spell they're gonna cast is the most disrupting... therefore Distracting Shot it the moment they come in casting range.
Shan also has over 10million exp My ranger is only at 4.2

But as everyone, especially those with 8 digits know, xp doesn't mean skill. It just means time...
...bah, never mind that, we mesmers are awesome!
Oh, to reply to 'why snare the ranger'.... it's so it can't run away><

As previously mentioned, if Mesmers plan on doing something like this again, I'd love to come.

Hey, I love mesmers, I have two myself, and agree that most people just don't understand them. Hmm, don't know the right way to say this without coming off as crass or sounding like trolling/flaming ....
I honestly wouldn't call a me/mo with all monk skills (likewise me/x with all x skills) on the bar that much of an accomplishment to boost the "Mesmers can do it all" camp. When I read the title I was curious to see what nice complimentary builds and skills from primary and secondary would be used and a bit disappointed to see you playing basically the whole secondary.
Some classes can do fine without the primary attribute from their secondary, even is less effective than that of a primary some aren't as important. Good energy management will negate the primaries of the ele and nec when used as a seconday heavy. Builds to not use strength at all, etc.
I am impressed that you guys did well and had fun, but not just based on it being "all mesmers" The same could be done with "All x"

If you read the opening post you'll see that we had a nice interlocking build sorted out, but come the day the people were'nt available to play it so we had to go for a more conventional approach, hence the skill bars. So what you read here was Plan B.
We've cleared fow with all mesmer teams(with no /w and /e tank build), and tbh the only ones with a greater proportion of /x skills are the mes monks and me/rits if we take them. The majority of times it's a normally proportioned mesmer skill bar. The same goes for when we've cleared UW with all mesmer teams. done Pve Tombs etc etc.
Now if every member had the team carried no or little mesmer skill I think you'd have a valid point, but they don't. One of the failings of GW is that only one skills line can heal very well, and thats monk, so it's kinda hard to find a replacement
My personal view is that we were given secondary professions for a reason, so utilise them. Now mesmers with all warrior, ele, necro secondary skills is kinda cheating, so we endevor as much as possible to use as many mes skills as we can, where we can't they are kept to a minimum

Actually if your a mesmer player you'll know that alot of ppl think mesmers are useless. I couldnt get into a group to Forgemaster until I invited my own friends to do it with me.
Like when Avarre showed that her mes was beyond 1 million exp (or something like that) ppl were shocked. Why? Mesmers can solo.

My mesmer has over 1 million experience, but that was from running FoW all the time.

At the time, it [actually a 3m xp post] was fairly significant for a mesmer to have Just a random fact.
