Yesterday I got a run for 2 missions from out of all else a mesmer with heroes and he did it with such efficiency makes me want to create a mesmer. I forgot what skills he used but he killed varesh in Ruins easily and without probs.

I was wondering since blackout has 12 sec recharge time, and with dom of 14+ has 6 sec shutdown time, if you have echo, can you essentially shutdown a boss? Thanks.

you probably could, but you wont be able to use your own skills for most of the time.

That's the beauty of it. The heroes do all the dirty work. I don't see varesh using its nasty mob skills and you can shut down those annonying margonite clerics who use sb.

Edit: I was wondering if anybody dom mesmer tried using blackout on Shiro also and if it is effective on monster skills. Thanks.

killing varesh quickly is as easy as wastrels worry ^^ she has natural resistance - ie. 63 armour ignoring damage every 1.5secs

Echo/Blackout doesn't work on Shiro (in factions at least) but it does on Glint. I haven't played echo/blackout since, because I thought they'd have a resistance like shiro did.
