Mesmers armor :(
I don't think this is already mentioned before, so I risk it...
I want opinions of ALL people ( even people who don't have a mesmer).
I think that the mesmer-armors are just horrible!
They are way too distinguised. And their armors look almost all the same...
Even if you dye them, they show to much similarities.
I know they try to show the mesmers as a stylish profession,
but stylish doesn't mean stiff, hard and boring...
You CAN make fantastic armors and still make them stylisch,
look at the ele's ( not saying that you have to make mesmer-armors as ele's, Mesmer just are not hot...But I show that it's actually possible to make cool stylish armors)
They made 1 or 2 (or maybe 3 ) fantastic mesmer armours, and then they just
give up and made the rest be as the first 3...
And I'll shut up about that nerving hop-dance...
They just jump at one place, turn around and jump further...
Just compare it with the necro's, they do some kind of triller dance, much variation... Then take the rangers and the monks, breakdancing, lots of variation...
Take assassin, they do some kind of freaky dance and jump , what? 3m?!
Something happens out there! And the mesmers? they keep on jumping on the same spot... Just SOOO boring.
(honestly, i've got NOTHING against mesmer, my main is a mesmer, but can't they change their style just a little bit???)
People just don't want to be Primary mesmer cause they have no cool armour...
( did not even mentioned the dance :/)
Please, I beg you!!! Change the new armour ( when you make it)!!!!!
And ( if you have time too much), give that dance a few details!!
It's just such a wonderfull character, with cool skill and atributes! It's just such a shame that the view ruïns everything...
I BEG you *snif* *snuf*

I disagree with you, mesmers have plenty of stylish armor for both male and female. Personal taste is one thing, but saying the entire outfit selection is unstylish is a bit much imo..
As far as the dance emote, it's perhaps the most amusing grief-dance you could ask for in pvp aspects, nothing beats river dancing over someone you completely dominated or tricked into killing themselves, but that's just me.
If you want ele armor, make an ele. Or be creative and mix/match some of the armor sets already available to you, to perhaps spice up your wardrobe some.

I didn't make a mesmer for quite some time, because I wasn't really crazy about any set, and then on top of that i saw how the set i did like (15k Noble) dyed, and i realize that type of style of armor should stay darkish, but I ended up dying it black, because I couldn't find a nice combo that I liked.
But now I have seen many nice combinations, and I have seen certain armors that i hated and actually really like now. Just look at the screenshot thread, look at the mesmers and maybe you will see something that strikes your interest.
I do agree about their dance. Its the same short thing over and over, its not bad, but its very short compared to other professions.

Oke, maybe I exaggerate the armor stuff a little bit
(A very little bit )
(But I swear that I did looked into the screens, and I didn't found more then 1 nice one...And still...)
I'm glad at least SOME-one see's the ''dance-problem'' too...
It's just too much the same...

Yes, Mesmer armour in Cantha and Elona is ugly, but the Tyrian ones are just splendid.

So all mesmers who want an actually splendid armor, should have a ''back to prophecies-principe''?
But I thougt the rule was '' every chapter, a nicer armor''...
That's after all the intention of getting more players or buyers, no?
The rare mesmer-armors I saw, were rather ugly... :s
Conclusion: only the common armors are cool?
+ they have to come from Tyria???
That's just against my principes

i dont think armors from elona or prophecies are ugly, only canthan with the exception of Cavalon regular and Kurzick ascended. I myself have Cavalon regular b/c Kurzick is just too damn expensive. However, the best armors definetally come from Tyria. My personal favorite is the Droks Ascalon Armor.

I actually only like luxon 5k, and some tyrian armors for male mesmers.
The male mesmer does have a lot of somewhat boring armour.
I hope they do get a little more creative in the future.

Wow, I LOVE the look of mesmers. Mine is turning into a bit of a clothes hound with Canthan 15K, Canthan 1.5K, and saving up for Vabbian. There are quite a few nice sets. I actually was NOT a fan of the prophecies armor as I felt enchanters was too much like a negligee and ridiculous for running around fighting and the others had functions I didn't care for. So I had a ridiculous hot pants get up with enchanters hose and rogue's top. Now that they've separated form from function, I'm blowing piles of cash getting my memser a huge wardrobe. Now if only I could get her a walk in closet....

Generally, mesmers have the only armor that doesn't look like something from power rangers. Regular, simple, realistic clothing is the way to go.
15k Male Virtuoso.

Mesmers have the best attire in the game. At least I think so. All of their armours look different.

Seriously made my day there.
I would seriously rather play a profession that wears more realistic and practical armor than some sort of freakish semi-8 peice scuba suit.
Also imo, the dance is fine. Its not meant to be 'omg ganstazz!1', its traditional irish dancing, hence why their profession colour was green (until the whole ridiculous grey defines everything era). Saint Patricks Day ftw.

I like the mesmer armors. The only thing that's missing is a good collar - so many are "bare necked".
For the record: my mesmer is wearing the beautiful kurzick elite armor dyed black, except for a white coat.

Oh please. Male Elementalists have it wayy worse than mesmers do. That's not even mentioning how horrible thier dance is.
Male Elementalist is the most visually gimped class in the game

Believe it or not, but I agree with that!
I like the simple clothing too!
But simple clothing is not the same as the mesmer armor now...
Mesmer- armor are just the opposite of, for example, ritualist-armor...
(keep it like that ), ritualist- armors are just complicated
(splendid, but just complicated)
So give me rather simple , but not booooring :s
(And about your male-ele, who the hell makes a male-ele, if you can make a female-ele?)
By the way, I'm a female mesmer... so...
I think man-mesmers aren't better of then the ele's
But I just don't like the extravagant clothes of the females
( not saying that most warriors aren't extravagant , that's just nice extravagant...)

well...I have to say tyria's armor is the best, with the exception of 1 thing:
the masks, no elite masks what so ever, right now im getting the primevil mask. (I think its totally sweet)
I do have to say I don't like Nightfall's armor as nearly as much, but I do like the vabbian armor, I'm guessing that whites the best for the armor, but haven't got that armor yet...
15k enchanter with white rocks!
Plus the dance is awsome, I mean if you get a whole group of mesmers going, oh boy!
Plus who doesn't like being the richest class in the game!

That's where they took a step in the other direction with mesmer armor design to suit people who dont like what they have access to. For example mesmer primeval and mesmer ancient armor, theyre are almost completely out of the mesmer's style range.
FOTUNATELY majority rules, and the nightfall armors didnt' have good feedback from the community. Each profession has a style and you'll just have to put up with it.

I think the Mesmer armor looks pretty sweet. My own Mesmer has 1.5K Luxon in Black (<3 <3 <3), one reason I went Mesmer over ele is because I hate the female ele RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO outfits (worse than 15K female druids)
I think that the Elite sunspear and Vabbian are the best leet armors the mesmer has.
Mesmer Dignity > Ele RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOness.

Could someone post a mesmer female vabian/Primeval/ancient?
(Or the armor that you think it's nice)
I can't find it...(Or I don't know that I am looking at it )
Or just give the link, I don't think you can post armors inhere...
And please notice to say what I'm looking at..
