Wait, isn't this the Mesmer forum? Why haven't I seen any Mesmer Elites?
For me, [skill]Ineptitude[/skill] I guess. Mesmers aren't that great in PvE.

Since this is in the mesmer forum here are a few of mine(Pve)
[skill]Hex eater Vortex[/skill] Just wonderful for hex heavy areas add in Shatter hex for extra fun.
[skill]Echo[/skill] allows you to create a lot more versitility and to adapt to situations. Often overlooked in PvE.
[skill]Ineptitude[/skill], great in melee heavy areas
[skill]Psychic distraction[/skill] and [skill]power block[/skill] just fun to play. Watch your victim flail about trying to find a skill to use.

Favourite mesmer one would be:
[skill]Arcane Languor[/skill]
Pretty much the only elite that can rival my all-time favourite elite that is:
[skill]Lingering Curse[/skill]
Favourite usable PvE elite on the other hand:
[skill]Power Leech[/skill]

HEV, Signet of Illusions and Power Block come to mind as my favourite PvE Mesmer elites, with emphasis on HEV.

My favorites are Migrane (areas with lots of nasty casters), Ineptitude (areas with lots of nasty melee), Fevered Dreams (if im in a condition heavy party) and finally Mantra of Recovery (the one thats on my skillbar most of the time).

Most of the time I find myself using Power Block, Echo, Hex Eater Vortex or Signet of Midnight. I used to use Ineptitude a lot before the recharge time was increased. Instead of Ineptitude I now use Signet of Midnight + Epidemic on those melee enemies who manage to make their way to the casters. The downside is that one can't really just go and blind the nasty rangers at the back with SoM. Of course by using Arcane Echo + Ineptitude + Epidemic the blind time caused by Ineptitude could be made longer but Arcane Echo takes another skill slot which could be used for some other useful skill.

I have a lot of fun with [Simple Thievery]. I like playing a Thief Mesmer build: Arcane Echo + Simple Thivery + Arcane Larceny + Arcane Thievery. (template: OQBTAQBP0xDkBWCGVTYUgIIAA)
I don't do a lot of damage with this build, but it is very fun to play! I let my heroes and henchmen do the butchering - I just make sure my enemies can't do much back.
Sorry - not sure how to post the icon for the spells!

I usually take Echo with me to the areas where is many different kinds of mobs. The rest of my skillbar includes a little bit of something for every type of mob, still being effective by consentrating on the biggest threat.
Before entering a battle think which one of your skills you're going to need the most during the battle and Echo it. It can be Empathy, Shatter Hex, Power Lock... Any skill you think you want to be able to use more often that the normal recharge time allows you to.

Signet of Illusions, Illusionary Weapon
(If I want an Echo build, I'll take Ele secondary and Glyph of Renewal instead)
For Gwen, I give her Mantra of Recovery
