I was looking for advice on reccomended Insignia's for the Mesmer class.

if you are playing a build with some downtime on two or more skills (such as dom mes or maybe illusion of pain mes) i would run Prodigy's Insignias which would give you +5AL for each recharging skill, its good for PvE + PvP (everything except armor ignoring damage

survival or insightful or a combination of both are a good bet when it comes to anything in pve land.

Depends on your skill bar entirely. The extra armor from Prodigy's could come in handy if (as hainese said above) you have some skills with fair downtime. (75 armor if you have 5 skills recharging)

Radiant might be good if you don't have enough energy. Survivor is generally a good choice, since mesmers are soft targets.
