I tried the UW build yesterday, but my problem is when the Aatxes use deadly riposte.
I start bleeding for a long time, without being able to heal myself. So eventuelly i just die from bleeding. How exactly does their Deadly Riposte animation look like?
Or got any tips?

You have to use Sympathetic Visage, wait a bit to drain their energy, and then cast IW and start attacking them. When SV recharges, use it again. If they don't have energy, they can't use DR ^^

You, sir, are a genius. I'm going to go make a mesmer. Right. Now. Because Mesmers are the second class which can solo SF. Just out of curiousity, is it easier then the warrior GB or Melandru's Resilience builds?

Perhaps a silly question given all your excellent instructions, but I've never gone completely solo in most areas with any of my girls (and the 55 idea leaves me cold) so I was wondering if you have any further suggestions for a complete newbie to "invinci" builds on how to successfully run this one.

I equipped my mesmer as you suggested (she hadn't had any new clothes since her 15K a year ago!) and purchased a lovely scythe (which my baby dervish will inherit if this doesn't work out

). Because I'm timid in trying new things with the girls, I took my three new heros to Skyward Reach. Eventually we took four hydra down but not without my mesmer dying.

So, is it merely extreme attention to the timing of the enchantments' maintenance, etc.? My girl was well out of energy before everything was cast although she was already taking damage (which should've been replenishing her energy pool).

Any tips, suggestions, constructive advice well appreciated.

in the beginning i also found it quite hard to find a way INTO the fight..

but you could try to use a staff while preparing your enchants (before aggroing) and change to your scythe later, when you get a steady energy gain from mantra..

it's also recomendable to use mantra first, wait a couple of seconds and then start casting enchants in order of their duration (longest lasting first)..

How does the armor buff update (+25 cap on armor buff skills) and reduction of Stoneflesh Aura's duration affect this build?

(and all other Stoneflesh Aura-Stone Striker-Mantra of Earth combos for that matter?)

Hey I thought it would be time to register to these forums after reading for a long time here.

I rebuilded my mesmer yesterday to be able to farm this way but it is a lot harder then i thought.

The armor cap doesn't seem to have affect since it uses only one armor skill (kinetic) and the shorter duration of stoneflesh maybe makes it a little bit harder.

My biggest problem is to keep kinetic up all the time. Once it's gone your dead in UW.
The 2nd problem for me are the Dieing Nightmares

I'm a newbie when it comes to solo UW. So far i haven't been able to kill even 1 Aatxe

Anyone got some advise where to practise this build (in Cantha) because UW is becomming a bit expensive...
Tanglewood Copse is a place thats working for me at the moment although im still learning ^^

btw. D0pefish, where did you put the HM guides, I cant find them in the first post. Thx for all the effords for the build!!!

Try with Jade Brotherhood Warrios in Wajjun Bazaar. In easy mode you can practise how to have Kinetic Armor all the time up ^^

Hmm very easy when practising in Bazaar. But because of the armor stack nerf UW is not an option. Without Armor of Earth the Aatxes do to much damage

yes with the rs buff nerf you can't do the uw and the titan build....
but i'm not sure if they'll keep it ingame.

they better not......right as the mesmer get a great farm build they nerf it..........if anything they need to nerf 55..something like takeing out the -55hp and not more then 2 of 1 rune would not allow you to farm.....

They want to stop the eles with that armor buff thing. The thing with mesmers is they have very few builds on their own which can farm. I cant really think of any as a matter of fact. Most professions have a way to damage deal and tank. Memsers have to use secondary professions to accomplish this. If the aim is to nerf the other professions, the mesmer usually suffers with them.

Anet wanted to nerf the RS-Stacking in PvP and some Earth Tankers.
I don't think they know this guide at all because there aren't many people who know it or even play it, so the build wasn't nerfed DIRECTLY by Anet at all

Most of the Builds will still work.
Ok the UW Builds are destroyed but at least there are some nice screens and memorys left
