Default Elementalist/Ranger Build?

Just curious if any of you out there have any decent Elementalist/Ranger builds?

All I can ever find is the opposite....Ranger/Elementalist....

What I have in mind is a pure Ranged antagonizer.....hit those pesky Mesmers and Monks in the back from afar......

Would like to have a bow, but mainly use Elementalist skills with some minor Ranger skills to take advantage of the bow....

I'm stumped on ideas....

Any suggestions?

I'm e/R at the moment I primarily use troll ungent or healing spring. Occasionaly serpents quickness or winter. Still experimenting with a pet build.

I honestly don't see Ranger sub helping Elementalist out all that much. You really have to consider it from a standpoint of why you're putting the two together. Elementalist primary is used for the large amount of energy. Now if you were doing a trapper build - or maybe a spirit build, you could incorporate some of those high energy skills into the build. I think there are quite a few more interesting options r/e just due to skills such as Oath Shot and Marksman's Wager.

ill be very honest - i am a R/E.. but i was tinkering with an idea for a Earth/air/Enrgy stoarge Elemntalist/Ranger, with 5 wildnerss survila, for a trap or troll Unguent.. proably something along these lines...

11-13 Earth (stone eye + major or minor rune)
11 air (10+1)
11 energy storage (10+1)
5 Wilderness

Skills.... still as i said tinkering... but heres what i came up with..

Enervatign Charge
Lightning Orb/stone daggers (to be hoenst, i think Stone daggers would be better for quick damage spamming)
Stoning
Earthquake
Aftershock
Troll Unguent
Lightning Surge/Spike Trap (Elite)
Barbed Trap/Armour of Earth

Obvisouly, it focues on Knock down/after shock combos - i.e Evervating + Stoning + After shock, Earthquake + After shock, Spike Trap/Lightning Surge + after shock... you get the idea.

i still need to unlock after shock though.. when i do ill run this through pvp - but i hope it helps =)

I started one yesterday to see what build most suited my play style.

I find it fairly useful ( using fire and pet skills atm ) to be able to use a bow from a distance and also switch to a fire attack when needed. Also the 2 healing skills makes a quick run in group fire attack and retreat work well.

managed to do over the wall with a war/e without too much hassle once we got organised too.

Dont think its the best build but it certainly has its place within a team.

If you have a couple of warriors in front you can clout them with ranged spells and shower them with arrows while your energy recharges

Talking

I will develop a build for E/R and share my findings eventually as I am still going through PvE. But I am confident I could make a sweet build easily enough.

I will post my initial quick list of skills I would try personally.

glyph of energy
Aftershock
Inferno
Glyph of lesser energy
Meteor
Whirling defense
Melandrus arrow
Ressurection

I have no clue if this would work, but I would guess that it could work.

My main is an E/R, depending on the situation I usually have 5-6 offensive ele spells and either:

When Running (points in wilderness)
Storm Chaser, Troll Unguent + Charm Animal (for initial damage soak)

When doign Running/Fighting Mix (points in wilderness)
Storm chaser, Charm Animal, Comfort Animal

When fighting: (points in beastmastery)
Charm animal, comfort animal, sometimes disrupting lunge
