My Necro/Elementalist build
Hi,
Just wanted to share the build I use, I call it the Antichrist, because it works really well on monks.
Classes: Necromancer/Elementalist
Attributes: 16 blood (18 with awaken the blood), 10 soul reaping, 9 fire
Required Runes: 1 Superior Blood magic, 1 Major soul reaping, 1 Major vigor
Unused points: 3
Skills:
Awaken the Blood
Vampiric Gaze
Shadow Strike
Soul Leech (Elite)
Demonic Flesh
Meteor
Meteor Shower
-Empty Slot- (Recommended: Res signet, strip enchantment, or well of blood)
Usage:
Start the battle with awaken the blood, for obvious reasons. Since most PvP battles start with targetting the monks, being able to take them down early is very useful. Note that if while not a lot of people target the necromancers early on, which works really well to my advantage, I have demonic flesh in case someone decides they don't like me.
Now you find your target and cast soul leech. If the target has half HP or more, use shadow strike - t does 55 damage + another 55 (life steal) if target has over 50% health if you have blood at 18, or just 50 if you have it at 16. Either way, your monk is now at least 100 hp short, and he's gonna want to heal himself, so keep Soul Leech on him - at these levels, soul leech will steal 84 health, which will render the monk unable to heal himself for the next 10 seconds.
Your target's next step would be to, since he can't heal, run. Buuuut... while he's running, just get in range and cast meteor to knock him down and cause another 70 damage. By now, if he's a smart monk and figured out he can't heal himself after one try, he should be down around 250-300 health. Now just follow up with vampiric gaze a couple of times, and keep soul leech charged on him, until he dies. Don't forget you're (hopefully) not the only one attacking!
I keep meteor shower with me for large groups of people who just ask to be knocked down time after time. Good for those missions where you have to defend a specific spot.
Now, the thing I like most about this is the energy costs:
Shadow Strike - 10
Soul Leech - 10
Meteor - 10
Vampiric Gaze - 10
My necro has 41 energy, meaning you can get through this whole series of spells without having to recharge. And if you do kill him, you get a nice boost of energy for the next guy with your high soul reaping.
So... tell me what you think - any good?

Put in Life Siphon. Drop Soul Leech on a good Monk, and the one and only spell that you'll steal life from will be remove hex. Cast Life Siphon immediately after Soul Leech, and that Monk is suddenly in a lot of trouble, as Life Siphon would be removed first.
The only alternative masking hex would be Mark of Rodgort, which would have the nice bonus of doing lots of damage combined with something simple like Flare, but that's probably too energy intensive for a N/E.
Otherwise, I'm quite impressed. That's the first non-minion N/E build I've seen that I didn't immediately think 'should be E/N'.

Thanks :P
Just that I'm still using my first PVE character, which is N/E, and this is the build that I've come up with in the end :P I'm still new at this, obviously.
But thanks for your suggestions, I think that maybe, if I'm dropping soul leech, I'll take life transfer instead of life siphon (Though it's a pain to find). I'm glad there are people out there who are willing to help me improve

It's purely selfish motivations I assure you. There's only so many Wa/Mo's you can slaughter in the Arena before you start wishing for something a bit more challenging.

Hi there... nice build! I'm a Ne/El too, but still really new to the game. He's my only character, PvE, and still just L13. I've only been as far as Yak's Bend, so you know I have tons of skills left to find. Currently I'm using Blood-Fire, but Blood-Air sounds appealing. I use these a lot:
Vampiric Gaze & Touch, Deathly Swarm, Weaken Armor, Animate Bone Horror, Well of Blood, Glyph of Lesser Energy & Firestorm.
I peruse the forums looking for other Ne/El's to see if I can learn any new tricks. I can tell you it seems that not a lot of people are running this combo! 8(

You could use Parasitic Bond as the mask Hex. It has the convenience of being fast cast, cheap, and lasts 20 seconds. Curses will be at least 2 with Awaken the Blood, the extra 3 points could be dropped into curses to make it 4 (or soul reaping could be lowered a bit to boost curses more).
Of course Life Siphons effect at 18 blood would be pretty nice.

My N/E was more of a support character. Earth Magic Wards, BiP/BR, and Well of Blood/Power, plus a few damage spells.

Since we're posting PvE N/E builds:
Attr:
Blood 12 (10+2)
Death 12 (11+1)
Soul Reaping 7
Air 10
Skills:
1) Life Siphon
2) Shadow Strike
3) Vampiric Gaze
4) Lightning Strike
5) Lightning Orb
6) Exploit Corpse / Animate BH depending on the level of threat / enemies I expect to face
7) Well of Suffering
Last slot I mix around with SoC / Rez depending on what I'm doing.

Meteor shower seems out of place in your build. I would replace it with Mark of Subversion if possible, in case there's a second monk nearby.
