Hey,

I have been reading through the forum in order to figure out a good solo farming build for my lvl 19 Elem/Mes character. Thank you to everyone who posted such great information. I think I have my build pretty much set, but have a question about whether to go with Water or Earth as my secondary.

So here is my proposed build:

Fire + 12 (+1 head gear + 3 rune) = 16
(Water or Earth) + 9 (+1 rune) = 10
Energy + 9 (+1 rune) = 10

Skills:

1. Aura Of Restoration
2. Arcane Echo
3. Armor Of Mist? Armor of Earth? Ward Against Melee?
4. Lava Font
5. Inferno
6. Flame Burst
7. Pheonix
8. Meteor Shower

So my plan is to go solo against the higher level farming areas with at most a healer with me. Here is what I plan on casting:

AOR; echo; mist; lava font; inferno; mist(from echo); flame burst; lava font; pheonix.... I am thinking that should take care of just about everyone, I can case flame burst again if necessary.

My question is this, what is better as a secondary for protection skills, Water or Earth? A lot of people seem to go with Water and use Armor of Mist. Is there any advantage in using that instead of Armor of Earth or Ward Against Melee?

Also, any comments/suggestions on my build and tactics would be greatly appreciated!!!

If I were you I'd replace Pheonix with Fireball, then Lava Font for Firestorm, and Inferno for Incendiary Bonds. And I'm not sure if Armor of Mist ends when you use fire spells... or is that Armor of Frost? dunno. O and btw a minor fire magic rune and a sup fire rune wont stack :P

Mist form as an elite

try a water based attack line with high energy storage. Use the variety of AOE damage and arcane echo + inspiration line stuff (channeling in particular) to deal damage while keeping your energy high enough for more mist forms.

Something like this

before battle,

aura of restoration
water attunement
arcane echo

now run into monsters

mist form
channeling
3 AOE water based magics (frozen burst etc?)
wait till your mist form is about to wear off and use it again

Mist Form doesnt block everything. it only blocks melee. As if i was trying to wand slap you to death. But if i were to be like yeah fireball. BOOM ur hit with fireball. Thats the only bad part. I tested it in the desert with the hydras. Im like hahaha u cant touch me. Then whap meteor on my head and fireballs in my face and im dead. im like uuuhhh. So ya i dont like it that much anymore. But looks like it should work.
