Basically a good idea is to use surge and then cast orb immediately after. Surge and orb will both trigger at the same time on your target, making the damage really high. Then follow up with lightning strike.
But on a side note, airspike builds arent all that great anymore.
Actually now that spirit spam fertile season is out, it may work out.

you don't need aura, it's not a spiker's job to heal himself ...
my casual spike build :
lightning surge - lightning strike - enervating charge - lightning orb - chain lightning - air attunement - channeling - res signet
usually i use lightning surge - lightning orb combo (the knockdown of surge makes sure orb hits) and then just spam the other skills at the target ... make sure you don't get backfired/blackout/enchant removed otherwise you'll end up dead/without energy very fast ... also keep an eye on your exhaustion ...
use a 20% recharge rod and a 20% cast 20% recharge air artifact ... faster recharge is VITAL

I used to do the Lightning Surge -> Orb combo all the time. Problem is now though, people expect spike groups and have Protective Spirit ready.
Lightning Surge is like a dead give-away of who you're going to spike (unless you're using it as a diversion to trick them). So I just ditched it for whatever else.

Skills:
Air Attunement
Elemental Attunement {E}
Lightning Strike
Lightning Javelin
Enervating Charge
Chain Lightning
Lightning Orb
Res Sig
Stats:
Air magic 12+3+1
Energy storage 12+1
Weopon:
Hale PvP air staff of enchanting (+30 health, enchantments last 20% longer)
If you use air attunement and elemental attunement whilst casting , you'll find that your energy isn't really getting any lower ( 80% energy back per spell I think). Enervating and javelin are handy on warriors, and chain and orb are both good for fairly large ammounts of damage. In the arena if your target is under focus fire from you and your team mates, they shouldn't be standing for very long
