GB is one of the most overlooked skills on this game. name another skill that can do 200+ dmg in 1 shot AND heal you......i'm waiting.

exahustion knocks 10 energy off your max. he uses crystal wave first that's 15 energy. shock's exhaustion doesn't affect him. after aftershot he has used up 40 energy with 10 knocked off max. now uses obsidian he's at 45 energy used and 20 energy knocked off max. he can still use 2 more exahustion skills before it would even start to catch up to him.

you people need to learn how to do math.

ehaustion can build up with every skill, he wouldn't be able to do that on more than 1 person unless he took like a 2 or 3 minute break to recover

I take it this is for CA not GvG or Tombs?

If so it would work because fights generally don't last all that long or are that well thought out.

So yeah insofar as some faction farming potential in CA, this build works pretty well.

But for anything with any organization, you will die or be cancelled out by life bond/protective spirit. Or just die. Either way this build won't work all that well.

Ok guys listen to the dude exhastion doesnt affect him and personally i agree. If your an ele and you have a full energy bar during the middle of a fight you are either the best energy controller (congrats if you can do that) or you arent doing your job. A middle zone is available. I have never played a r/n toucher (no idea about damage so sry if it is better), but i believe constant damage wise an IW mes/w (+flurry) could do some constant damage. Medium damage wise a pet smiter does some good damage (i just like pet smiters =) Another version of this type of earth ele (e/w) with a kd, glyph of renewal+dual aftershock +crstyal wave does a sorta of spike like damage. The build he seems to be using provides a spike/constant damage, but more spike-ish. But it sound pretty good, definatly not the worst ever created. Sry if i went off topic but...

Ah yes I forgot about IW, cant be blocked >_< and about the dual aftershock, there is no way I can pull off both unless my 20% faster cast kicks in on both for the bonus atleast, but I hate to dump grenths since its a life saver and a high damage spell, but since I said I want constant spike damage I have to check out the dual aftershock sounds good

Again, Stone Daggers help a lot to sustain Kinetic Armor. I use it always I with earth build. Also, its another enchantment for ER.

This post was recently revived and your comment is a few weeks old, almost old enough that the R/N touch ranger was still fairly recent in popular builds. In Comp Arena he may be nasty but without a monk you will be the first taken out. At least in any match where you face at least one player who is up on builds and strengths. Used to be when I played the touch ranger I could rip through anything except a healing monk, prot monks weren't much of an issue. Opposing rangers were cake. Now, though, everyone knows the build. All of the ranger builds I play can seriously cripple if not kill a touch ranger mainly because in Comp Arena I have to deal with anything and everything so all my builds are pretty much created accordingly.

The original poster's build is very strong in comp arena except for long matches such as on the lava map or vs 2 monk teams. Shock has KD which a Touch Ranger doesn't. His damage is high yield per spell, R/N touch rangers have a more flattened damage curve, it is consistent but less HUGE spiking. The elementalist build doesn't sacrifice any life like Touch of Agony requires.

But they're not any faster than regular Stone Daggers. It's a waste of an echo.

I missed something....you can't Echo and use Ether Renewal, both elites. To use 15 energy to Arcane Echo just for Ether Renewal would be cutting off one's nose to spite one's face. As NatalieD points out Stone Daggers are all you need for Ether Renewal spam.
