Hey everyone, i was thinking about starting up an elementalist soon but I was wondering what some good builds are. I'm thinking that I want to use Water skills but maybe with a Ranger secondary? Has anyone tested out a build like this, maybe using traps or Serpent's Quickness to get around some of the recharge times on the water skills?

I want to be able to spam and control at the same time, so water appealed to me right away.

Or would an air build with Thunderclap work better? Thanks for the help!

Well, in PvE you don't have a great range of spells in anything except fire for a while.

As for later on Water/Ranger, two words: "Permanent Mistform"

Serpent's Quickness generally looks appealing for elementalists, because your most efficient spell (e.g., individual vs. AoE0 will be different from fight to fight, so you'll often wish you could cast it more often.

Arcane Echo, on the other hand, doesn't require attribute points ...
