Default Elementalist elites, yet again

I'm shaking my head at some of the threads and comments.

So to summarize:

Ether Prodigy -- Generally regarded by experienced players as being the best, or at least most versatile, of the energy management elites, probably because of the quantity of energy it gives you UNCONDITIONALLY. Is used in a broad variety of builds, including almost all builds in which an elementalist primarily plays spells from a second profession (monk or mesmer).

If you use Ether Prodigy, cast Aura of Restoration immediately thereafter as a "cover enchantment" to protect against enchantment stripping, unless you know that isn't a danger.

Elemental Attunement -- The second most popular and versatile of the energy management elites. Gives back 40-50% of the energy you spend on most of your spells (the range is due to rounding), plus of course 40-50% of the extra 40-50%, and so on. The effect is compounded if you run one of the other attunements. Again, run cover enchantments if you use it. And try not to die; it's annoying to be rezzed and discover that it will be a long time before your attunements recharge.

Glyph of Energy -- Powerful if you're going to cast spells that cost 25 energy. Otherwise not the greatest. May be underused because people don't feel like hiking up to Mineral Springs to get it.

Ether Renewal -- Phenomenally good for solo farming in builds where you run 3-4 other enchantments. Not as effective if you're playing in a group -- but hey, it's a lot better than nothing, and for quite a while it may be the only good elite you have available to you.

Mist Form and Obsidian Flesh -- Powerful in solo farming, vs. warriors/rangers/MMs and casters respectively. Commonly run in connection with the ranger skill Serpent's Quickness, so they can be kept up without interruption (20% enchantment extension staves, such as Galigord's Staff, help too). Not too useful otherwise.

Glyph of Renewal -- A staple of echo nuking builds for group PvE play, in which the goal is to fire as many Meteor Showers as possible, and for that reason alone one of the most popular elementalist elites. Otherwise not the strongest.

All others -- Bad.

You know what's interesting?

I've never seen a monk use Mist Form, ever.

I'm not sure in what scenario they would.

Please recall that Mist Form does NOT prevent, for example, hammer knockdown. And if you're a monk, there are gaps when it's not up anyway.

And then they are a welcome target to hexes which they cannot get rid of via cop shield.
