E/Rt Massive AoE, being a human bomb, and super-eletanking (:
I'm always looking for stuff to play around with. Having maxed my ele in Monk and Mesmer lines, I began thinking... what the hell am I going to do now? I figured I would mess with a Ritualist secondary. Man I've found some fun builds with this combo
Super AoE Human Bombing:
Fire:16 (headgear and sup)
Channeling:10
E-Storage: 9 (minor)
Skills:
Burning Speed
Flame Burst
Starburst {E} Or Double Dragon {E}
Cruel was Daoshen
Incinidary Bonds
Fire Attunement
Aura of Resotration
Resurrection Signet or Flesh of my Flesh
First attune fire and mask it with the aura. Bust out the ashes of cruel daoshen and tag your unfortunate target with bonds. Charge at them with burning speed and staburst them. Drop the ashes then flame burst.
83 (bonds) to adjacent and 3 seconds of burning + 119 (starburst) to nearby + 80 (ashes) to nearby+ 127 (Flameburst) to nearby + 9 seconds of burning when burning speed ends.
329 Fire damage + 80 Lightning damage + 9 seconds of burning.... ouch. This damage area covers a huge AOE that encompasses all nearby foes. The ash drop is also instant so if you hit with starburst they will NOT escape the ash drop. If been having fun in aspenwood gate/mine/squad busting with this. All of this hits in less than 1.75 seconds as well.
But then again, everything dies. Most likely you wont survive after bombing... no without any defensive skills and being on fire. With double dragon, the damage is downright rediculous. It's just a fun build though. This attack can totally wipe an MM.
Shockwave Eletank
Earth: 15 (headgear + sup)
Restoration: 10
E-Storage: 11 (minor rune)
Skills:
Obsidian Flame
Shockwave [E]
Silver Armor
Armor of Earth
Kinetic Armor
Vengeful Weapon
Generous was Tsungrai/Aura of Restoration
Resilent was Xiko
Throw on kinetic armor and armor of the earth. Congratulations, you are now a fortress. You can upkeep the kinetic armor with weapon of vengence, and anyone that hits you takes 45 dmg while you lifesteal. Throw on silver armor and watch all the wammos die at your feet wondering why their dragon slash only did 4 dmg. If things go bad, bust out the ashes of tsungrai for a big heal or the ashes of xiko to tank conditions. I walked into 6 traps with this build, came out burning, blind, crippled, bleeding, taking huge damage and the ranger was like WTF your not dead? This build has some solo farming potential as well. And of course with shockwave, you can deal a ton of AOE dmg as well. Hexes and max degen will still own you tho, and backfire... ouch.
Well these are just experiments, things I've had fun tinkering with. Maybe something big can come out of these combinations.

congrats, you just made the second Ele tank from factions. Tell him what he has won, Kelly...
Seriously, good job. I love it when Tanks come up to you and lay down their attacks and they only gave u deep-wound, bleeding, and crippling, no damage at all.
E/A is fun, but E/Rt should be a riot. Look at all the enemies laughing at you when you are charging straight at them, then bomb them to oblivion. *sigh* good times, good times...

I'm tempted to try to make a group out of nothing but human bombs and monks just to see how much AOE damage we can spike up

Its even funnier when you drop the ashes of Xiko and lose all of those conditions too

forget all this Rt crap...
In no particular order: Star Birst, Phoenix, Inferno, Flameburst, Bed Of Coals, Wirlwind = BBQ.
I use warrior secondary with 10 points in tactics for survival.
I made it for Aspenwood, but it works well in general PvE as well (dont try on afflicted mobs). I even made a thread a while ago with this build, but nobody ever replied.

I like those human bomb Rt builds!
I kind of remember the Inferno, flameburst + bed of coals one, wasn't there a discussion about the cool down time between inferno and flameburst? Maybe I was thinking about another thread...

I was wondering how to effectively use Cruel was Daoshen - this is an excellent idea. What's funny is that with the item-carrying graphic it really does look like you're carrying a bomb (e.g. suicide bomber) into the frey, and then dropping is another nice effect for the explosion. Reminds me of the Uruk-Hai from the Two Towers that sends himself reeling into the gunpowder to blow up the wall...
