I have to agree with Evilsod here. Mind spells don't cut it when running an elite energy management skill can let you spam spells constantly without having to worry about what your energy is at, and without having to worry about exhaustion building up.
Even if you swap to an energy set to make sure your energy is higher than your opponents is, you can still really only use this so many times before exhaustion becomes a factor.
The mind burn setup is outright not worth it, if you want burning that badly hit them with a MoR and then just attacking normally and using fireball when it's charged up will produce better results.
Mind freeze, as mentioned previously, Water trident could be put to much better use here, wouldn't have to deal with exhaustion, and you have a number of other snares already.
Mind Shock is probably the best of the 3 as already stated.. But it's still not worth it's weight. Running an elite energy management here would produce more overall damage across the board, and with a number of spike skills already present the extra damage from Mind Shock is not needed, if it's only there for the KD gale and shock work just as well.
[Edit]Played a few matches, and bringing down a target from full health really only works against squishies on teams without monks. The amount of energy you burn through for a combo also can leave you fairly helpless afterward. So at least running with Mind shock is viable, and I never really ran a whole lot using an air ele, so as far as I can tell they both work, Focusing more on spike with Mind shock, and more with dps/dot using an elite energy management. But again, against a team with a monk I'd choose more dps/dot hands down. (Most RA monk builds can negate the majority of your 25-40 point chain with a single 5-10 point heal).
