PvE Earth Elementalist?
Alright, so, playing with these new templates and able to save them, I've been saving my builds. But! I've been having a very difficult time deciding on what and how to build a Geomancer build!
Anyone have any tips, suggestions? And dont worry about Skills or Elites, I'll maange those. Just let me know of your build and all that fun stuff!

Well my Geomancer using the following build which is pretty sucessful especially in the crystal dessert:
Elemental Attunement [E] - for energy
Earth Attunement - for extra energy
Whirlwind - for knockdown
Aftershock - combines with Whirlwind for good damage
Heal Breeze - self or ally heal if the monks are struggling
Crystal Wave - high AL ignoring damage
Armour of Earth - Reduces damage while at point blank range
Rebirth - Ressing allies if all goes pair shaped
Occasionally i change and add in Obsidian flame, Silver armour, Glyph of elemental power and or Ward Against Melee depending if im needed for more team support or if i need to be able to hit harder and aside from a few variations of this build, this is the average build i use (hope that helps)

Mmh aren't mobs in Crystal Desert resistant to earth damage?
I love supporting wards playing Earth Ele, Ward Against Melee and Ward Against Melee can be key to handle huge mobs. Being defensive you could like the classic Whirlwind/Aftershock combo or something in the air line like Blinding Flash and Enervating Charge.

I think this requires you to be in very close range with the enemy, which is generally not recommended for squishies. Armor of Earth is easily strippable, and without it, you're pretty much a sitting duck. Might be okay for farming, but not for grouping, in my opinion.
I'd recommend something like this:
Earth: 12+1+3
ES: 9+1
Heal: 9
Glyph of Energy {E}
Earthquake
Obsidian Flame
Earth Attunement
Ward Against Melee
Ward Against Elements
Heal Party
Rebirth
You can protect party members pretty well with this build and you can output some decent damage and knockdowns.

Munanko Roha is correct enemies in the crystal dessert are earth resistant but they are also highly resistant to ALL elemental types and since earth has some AL ignoring skills its out damages the other elemental types, and from a little testing i found they are slightly less resistant to Earth and Air (obversly the AL penetraion comes in handy there) than they are to Water and Fire which is particularlly bad there.
Yeah this build does require being in point blank range which i dont deny isnt always a good idea when in some areas but for general use its kills quick enough for being that close to enemys not to be a problem.
As milias points out Glyph of energy[E] and Earthquake are great to use when Close Range attacks arnt so usful.
Also the clone of crystal Wave skill (cant remem the name) is also handy to use when facing even higher AL foes where Aftershock doesnt do enough damage.

I've enjoyed playing this build:
Ward Against Foes
Unsteady Ground {E} (Sandstorm {E} may work better, but I haven't capped it yet)
Eruption
Glyph of Lesser Energy
Aura of Restoration
Armor of Earth
Earth Attunement
Rez of choice
Basically this build does some heavy AoE damage and can snare enemies that try to flee as well. There is some downtime between spells, but the build is designed to deal spiked AoE punishment in order to greatly soften up groups of enemies (the KD and blinding certainly helps the cleanup as well).

Oops, fixed my typo. Yea, I suggested Sandstorm since it according to Guild Wiki: "Sandstorm is arguably one of the most powerful area of affect spells due to the large area it encompasses, the overall damage, and of course, the bonus to attacking enemies. Also, has a low energy cost, recharge, and cast time for an earth AoE spell."
(Guild Wiki: http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Main_Page)
You lose the KD effect from it, which might hurt since the KD really helps keep enemies in the AoE in PvE, but the extra damage dealt may compensate for this. I have yet to test it out.
