im noticing alot of locked chests in the sulfurious areas right in the middle of crag and mesa mobs, and according to an update awhile ago, chest contents are now determined by surrounding foes. maybe we can pull a sword out of those chests?

I'm not liking it.
You have to fight that group of insects in the beginning, and they sometimes have a monk with them, making it awfully slow to kill the warriors, which interrupt. Also because of the need of fleeting you can't pack a lot of damage, so it's slow.
Sometimes you'll have to fight a second group of insects also, and sometimes the last mob of elementals are in the middle of sulfur.
Seems like we can do better.

if you go the left way around the rocks in the middle you dont have to fight any insects at all. like i said theres only 4 mobs you can farm ,the 2 in the middle and the 2 in the wastes. theres a bunch right in the middle of the wastes but i dont think youll be able to get to them

prot spirit
Mys regen
Fleeting stability
Shielding hands
Balth's Aura
SoJ
Balth's Spirit
Blessed Aura

Craigs dont run from Balth's aura for some reason, they just die, allowing you to stop spamming stability.

Drops so far:
Ancient Daggers
Ancient Scythes
Ivory Bows
Avian Axe (only gold so far, and its perfect)
Lumps of Charcoal
Watercrest Wand(!)
And a load of Granite Slabs+ Sandblasted Lodestones.
I'm yet to see a Locked Chest close to them.

lol yeah, best i got so far was 2 desolation swords, one req 10 and other was 12 or some crap. alot of gold hammers, copper crusher or w/e and desolation mauls. just got a skull longbow too.

a friend of mine says that he got a q11 elemental sword dropped from an chest in that region(he showed me) ! so keep going guys

Yeah, you probably saw me there :P I been trying for a hour or so, A bit tricky but once you get the hang of it, its allright. Constant Flow of golds tho, which isnt to bad and like you said, good ammount of glanite slabs.

I'm not so sure they drop from them, it must be chests near them. In my one lucky moment of my entire gaming experience(lol) i got an elemental sword from a chest near them.Yay me. But i have never heard of anyonee getting it as an actual drop; I pmed 4 ppl in LA who were selling ele swords and they all got them from chests. But who knows, it could still be possible.

its possible to do this with shielding hands and shield of absorbtion, seeing if theres any quicker route to killing them out there

yeah you dont need to take both, sure its possible, but only time you need shielding hands is as soon as you aggro and 3x SS starts hitting you. otherwise mystic regen keeps you up.
