Run Searing Flames with a Glyphed Meteor Shower.

While I haven't done the Deep in a while, I believe the build is generally the same as an Urgoz nuker, which would be something similar to the following:
[skill]Searing Flames[/skill][skill]Glowing Gaze[/skill][skill]Glyph of Lesser Energy[/skill][skill]Liquid Flame[/skill][skill]Arcane Echo[/skill][skill]Meteor Shower[/skill][skill]Fire Attunement[/skill][skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill]
Variations of this typically bring Glyph of Sacrifice. A E/Mo variation of this may be something like as follows:
[skill]Searing Flames[/skill][skill]Glowing Gaze[/skill][skill]Glyph of Lesser Energy[/skill][skill]Liquid Flame[/skill][skill]Glyph of Sacrifice[/skill][skill]Meteor Shower[/skill][skill]Fire Attunement[/skill][skill]Resurrection Chant[/skill]
If there is some big variant between this and what is ran in the Deep, feel free to correct me.

Cookie Cutter ele builds FTL
Go right ahead and in the first area run your cookie cutter SF build and then try
Liquid Flame, Glowing Gaze, Fireball, Rodgorts Invocation, Glyph of Renewal, Meteor Shower, Mark of Rodgart and Fire Attunement.
Tell me which is faster.

Savannah heat would break the aggro, which is something you don't want to be done.

You shouldn't run multiple Fire Elementalists in The Deep anymore?
I still don't understand why you'd ever want triple Heats in PvE.

LoL! So, SF is a cookie cutter build, but a Renewal Nuker isn't???
If you have multiple SF eles, you will get much more damage output much faster than with nukers using spells that have 3 and 5 second cast times. If you are the only nuker, however, a MS build isn't necessarily a bad choice.
@ Mokone: Do groups only run 1 ele in Deep now? Last I recall it was a few tanks, a few monks, a bip, then a bunch of nukers, but as I said I haven't done much outside of Urgoz in a while.

I've gotten into groups with my E/Mo.
Then got kicked as soon as people saw I wasn't Mes secondary. This has happened 4 times in a row. Guess people only want E/Me's... though I really prefer bringing a hard res in case some retard decides to get him-/herself killed in an annoying spot.

Personally I think Glyph of Sacrifice is better than Arcane echo. You are more likely to want a instacast than an echoed copy, if carrying Searing Flames. The knockdown would be the main reason to carry it.

One build that I use for an elementalist in The Deep is:
Mark of Rodgort
Liquid Flame
Rodgort's Invocation
Glyph of Renewal
Meteor Shower
Glyph of Lesser Energy
Fire Attunement
(some res)
I do understand that this is a slow cast build but it is consistent. The only time I have a problem with energy is getting interrupted/knocked down or I don't have the attunement up. It isn't as quick as Searing Flames but it does have all the knockdowns every 20 seconds. One thing that I do like is to team up with an SF ele so that we can work together since the enemy is on fire almost all the time.

Qft, I agree here and prefer to run my /Mo variant of the builds posted above, but the /Me build works just fine as well, so I really don't have any problem with either.
@ Icandecree:
I used to run a renewal nuker whenever I did the Deep, but that was back before Nightfall, so while I know it will work in normal mode, I'm not sure it's the most efficient build anymore.

You'd be surprised by the number of people in The Deep who don't know that Nightfall exists. On the occasions I've stopped by there to get a PUG, people were still clinging religiously to the pre-Nightfall wiki builds and some of them were even ridiculing those who didn't. It was kinda funny, if sad, to see the Healer's Boon and LoD Monks chased away for not being another Word Nub...but yeah, definite time warp going on down there sometimes.

Essentially, when it comes down the elementalists and PvE there's generally a singular solution: Searing Flames, and as much of it as you can get.

isnt [skill]Invoke Lightning[/skill] a good skill since it has a decent recharge time, and it does a decent dmg on multiple foes(up to 3)?

Hitting 3 foes is all well and good... Except that's there's 50 squajillion things to kill at the same time, and a 15-sec recharge simply won't cut it.
In the Deep... You need the AoE, really. Which comes down to Fire.
My 2 cents on this discussion?
I prefer Searing Flames (with a MS thrown in) for Deep. It's comparable to a standard Meteor Shower nuker in the first room, then when you're all a happy family again, you can resume tearing through PvE, SF pack style
